A coup against himself?
Trump was still president.
I love these desperate threads, they seem like they are being typed while clutching a laptop on a window ledge of a tall building.
They realize they are screwed with Biden in control but still hate Trump.
No, a coup against the US government. The president is not the government. You might like to take a refresher civics class online. Amongst other things, it's a government of the people, by the people, for the people, not just by the president and for the president. And said president at the time was trying illegitimately to seize a second term in office, a term he lost in the general election, therefore he was attempting a coup.
But your GIF at the bottom of your post sums up the risibility of your argument quite well.
Dude just stop the BS.
Biden’s administration wasn’t installed at the time, therefore a coup to remove them wasn’t possible.
Dude, stop the stupidity and ignorance. I never said the Biden administration was installed at the time, I said that trump was trying to unlawfully interfere with the peaceful transfer of power to the next executive branch administration by attempting to strong-arm the legislative branch of the government, thus it was a coup attempt against the US government. And for gawd's sake once again, the executive branch isn't the sole US government. Yes, I spelled it out in more specific terms this time around, because you clearly didn't get it the first time.
I see your most compelling arguments are the animated gifs you put at the bottom of your posts. It's not really a way to win an argument.

Do you even know what a coup is? Or an insurrection? Need an example or two?

Typical Liberal, they always think they are the smartest in the room, when in reality, it’s not even close.

How come no pics from the Jan. 6 attack on the US capitol? Or video of the pro-Trump goons in hand-to-hand combat with Capitol police?
As for the pics you did show, those were neither coups nor insurrections. They were protests, the upper one indicated some rioting had occurred previously, the lower one showed a guy with an AR, but he wasn't overtly threatening with it. No clear evidence of insurrection, let alone a coup. Did the protesters in Seattle attempt to take over the city government? I don't recall that happening. People protested, some rioted. That doesn't really make for an insurrection.

This thread is about the Georgia GOP Chairman, who is not part of the Federal government.
Therefore it’s not a coup of the Federal government.
The animated gifs are for illustration purposes only, for people that have a problem understanding facts.

Because there wasn't an attack, those police let them into the building. Stay tuned into your left wing media bro, you'll never learn if you do.

Buddy, this thread is about the investigation of attempted voter fraud by Trump and company, and the attempt to overthrow the election results. In particular it is about the GOP Chair of Georgia claiming ignorance of what he was doing. And yes, that investigation is at the county and/or state level. No argument from me there. But back in a prior post of yours, in response to Mahogany, you brought up the matter of whether or not Trump had attempted a coup, saying how could he have, as he was already president. My point was only that he was attempting to interfere with the peaceful, constitutional transfer of power of the executive branch of the federal government, which is a de facto coup. And I was suggesting you read up on how the US government actually works, so you will be able to know what you're talking about regarding such matters, as clearly at this point you do not.
Yes, this thread is about the Georgia GOP Chairman and his part in these doings, but it concerns directly the presidential election, which involves at its heart the federal government. And once again, you are the one who made the claim that Trump couldn't attempt a coup because he was already president.
Typical rightwing conservative (as opposed to an old-fashioned conservative), they can't get their head around the facts, and they cannot argue their way out of a paper bag. But let's not get personal about it.
I am, however, reminded of several quotes attributed to Mark Twain:
"Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."
"'It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt.'"
And the irony in your statement regarding animated gifs is quite rich.

The only time in the last 100 years Faithless Electors have been used was by HRC in 2016. Not in 2020. Did not happen. Does not exist. The Entire left stated 'not my president' for 4 years. Congresspeople. Governors. Former Elected Officials.
THEY ALL DENIED AN ELECTION. THEY HAD ELECTORS READY.
HOW freakin blind do some of you have to be? The coup started around March 2016 when they knew that what was coming could not be stopped. They tried to fix the 2016 election and fell short. Look into it and you will see how DHS breached multiple states voting servers.
Now, this goon trying to say that he listened to them then but now when pressed he should not have shows he does not have the backbone of Bannon or Stone. He is a Cohen.
The world is cut into 22 second sound bites now. No one researches. No one reads past the first paragraph. No on really knows their history anymore.
We allowed it to happen and I fully blame our current government for pushing the final 'change' to our country. They just lost 4 years.....

America today.
Rig elections.
Prosecute anyone who asks questions about or challenges said rigged elections.
Seems like a lovely country if you like North Korea.
No, they're prosecuting folk who tried to commit voter fraud by the candidate asking the Sec. of State, in an infamous phone call, to come up with 10,800+ votes more for him, in order to overturn the election, and for a false slate of unduly elected and uncertified electors to be sent to be counted when the legitimate electors had already been certified.
And you're claiming the election was rigged without any evidence, and with legal challenges to said election found to have no merit in several courts of law. No one has been prosecuted for questioning or challenging the election; rather some people are likely to be prosecuted for attempted voter fraud and for attempting to submit a false slate of electors. Two entirely different things.

Utter nonsense.
The conversation was about finding FRAUDULENT votes and the recognition that only 11,000 had to be found to change the result.
In the face of literally hundreds of affidavits with respect to fraudulent activity and the more than suspicious way the count unfolded on the night, it is a perfectly legitimate request. In fact it’s a request that is a duty to make.
As i have said before that the election was rigged it’s blatantly obvious. That it can’t be proven in a court of law it’s not required to know it happened. We all saw it unfold from the moment the state laws began to change to facilitate election rigging through the unsupervised counting, the inexplicable shut down of the counts and the dead of night miracle turnaround in Bidens favour.
Be happy your side win a rigged election if you want, but don’t gaslight.
