What they pay is not the issue , it’s what they deduct is the problem. Trust me the corporate tax codes are criminal from top to bottom.

All of your facts are Republican spin & are no where close to reality. The top wealthiest 5% of American individual tax burden is 12-16% of their gross incomes. You & I cant afford a tax lawyer 365 days a year telling us how to get out of paying taxes through creative loopholes unavailable to us common folks.
I pulled the info off the IRS website...
I'm still trying to understand what you are getting at here. If the top 10% pays 72% of all income taxes what is your goal here? Do you want the top 10% pay 90% or some other percent? Are you suggesting we should get more over all income taxes. IDK why IRS would suggest the top 1% pay 26% on an average. They need to be paying something right if they are paying 41% of the total.

People & families who make below 84,000 a year are paying 12% .
Mitt has made 75-85 million the last three years & he pays on average 15% in taxes on that amount.
Do you see the problem here ?
100 million is high . Any flat tax that is unavoidable is what we need .

Would you have an issue if we went to an overall 8% for everyone whether they make 100 bucks or 100 million? I kind of like that idea...

The wealthy are always open about what they paid in taxes for the year , but none of them will show you their returns , because that is where the corruption takes place in our tax laws .

You have so many wrong ideas in that post it's not worth trying to talk about it further.
I am not MAGA by the way or a Republican or Democrat. I want nothing to do with either party. What I am is intelligent enough not to parrot others and to base my views on reality, not partisan or ideological crap.
Thanks for the conversation.
Stand & deliver your anti-thesis
Social burden sharing is understood by animals perfectly , so what is humanity’s problem ?

So let's say I made a billion dollars in hedge funds, why would I need to pay more if everyone else is paying 8%, 8% is 8% and 80 million isn't enough for him? Do we really need to set limits? If you want to set a limit, I think 100k is too much then. Doesn't it seem like a weird concept to say the more you make the higher percentage you pay, so you pay 30k at 25% let's say and the guy making a million isn't enough for some reason to pay 250k, so let him pay 330k at 33%.
Nice chat & no hard feelings. Discourse is important. I learn from people I disagree with .

I politely thanked you for the conversation as I had nothing further to add and you reply by baiting me.

No one needs 25 million a year & a Chevy Silverado should not cost $68,000 dollars either. A plane trip to Japan should not cost 4,500 dollars rd trip .
Greed & non-stop consumerism is evil .
Jesus was a social democrat
Society is broken & it needs repair via social programs & fair flat tax laws set in stone .

Once you start down that path to set limits then they keep getting reset. 25 million to you today could be 125k next year, or 80k the year after. It doesn't stop...
You think there is some magic numbers and there just isn't any... I smoke good cigars and drink good whiskey/scotch is that greed or something you should decide I should not buy?
I do believe too many people play the consumer game that should not be in it, so yes there is a problem there... don't buy crap if you can't afford it, don't buy a new truck if you can't afford it so on and so forth.
The reality is let say we taxed the 1% with a 90% tax, it will only increase our overall tax intake by 15%, not what people think it would be... Or better yet take that 90% tax and just give it to every adult in America, so that means maybe 150 bucks a month more. What are you trying to fix here?
Thank you & stay alert in this world that moves way to quick.
