As Ukraine runs low on the ammunition it needs to continue fighting off the Russian invasion and foreign stockpiles grow bare, some of Kyiv’s staunchest backers, including the United States, are putting pressure on European allies to quickly ramp up arms production.
An ambitious proposal made by Estonia and reviewed by NBC News would have Europe increase 155 millimeter artillery shell production by seven times, moving manufacturing capacity from 240,000 to 300,000 shells per year to up to 2.1 million shells annually.
The estimated cost would be nearly $4.25 billion for the joint acquisition effort that would be shared by European Union member states. If fulfilled, Europe would produce Ukraine’s ammunition needs in six months, rather than the four years it would take at current production levels, the proposal says.
Just before giving a blistering speech that denounced Russia at a United Nations Security Council meeting dedicated to the first anniversary of the invasion last week, Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu told NBC News that he had discussed the proposal with several of his European counterparts at a dinner in New York City.
I wish we had a better idea of how much each country produces at the moment.

So exactly how is Ukraine supposed to go on the offensive when they are already running low on ammo? Please note for the US it on some munitions it will take months or even to get out weapons supplies back to pre-war levels .
IF China wanted to make a move on Taiwan now would be they time to do it.

I wish we had a better idea of how much each country produces at the moment. Serbia is rumored to be selling rockets to Ukraine. But either way this is good, they're showing long-term commitment.

China and the US: On collision course for war over Taiwan
Richard Walker
12/29/2022December 29, 2022
China insists it will "reunify" with Taiwan. The people of Taiwan say they don't want that. The US says it would defend Taiwan against attack. As we enter 2023, this three-way tension is approaching the breaking point.
p.dw.com...
"We can only avoid a war by preparing for a war," said Taiwan's president, Tsai Ing-wen, approaching the end of 2022 with a stern message for her people.
"Taiwan needs to strengthen our ability to defend ourselves," Tsai said, announcing that from 2024, compulsory military service would be extended from four months to a full year.
"No one wants war," she said. "But, my fellow countrymen, peace will not fall from the sky."
