Just going to point out the fact that defacto description used by the government is always a balloon. A weather balloon, a scientific balloon, etc. That is always the defacto definition given by the government clear back to Roswell. Remember the first day it was a flying saucer and then the next day it was a high-altitude balloon. Also, they originally reported the object shot down in AK landed on the ice and then took off prior to being shot down.

Why the shoot first, ask what’s left of the debris questions later……attitude?

Seems savage and unadvanced of us……

What does the government suspect that they can’t trust?

The optics seem to show…..we are not ready to join the planetary community of beings.

Besides all the enlightened folk here at ATS (suck suck
), humans are worse than wild animals. We cannot be trusted. We lie, cheat, steal, rape, kill and worse. We are impulsive, violent and very dangerous to life and limb. We have no respect, we make utterly stoopid decisions and are so full of self-importance, spite, rage and riddled with every other negative faulty trait ever mentioned that unless ET has the saintliness of Jesus or a Buddha then they are better off not letting us join their little club.

HARRP is locates in Alaska
Some.observers believe it can cause earthquakes around the world
Turkish earthquake recently maybe some foreign states are surveying with high altitude probes these energy forces from HARRP given the coincidental.timing.

What makes you think aliens are any better than humans? They are likely just like us.

So now is it that this will become the new norm to shoot down unidentified flying objects? If it is then maybe we'll get a tic tac and good footage from someone showing the engagement of the object and what it actually is. This will also have more people looking up in the skies and reporting what they see. But are we going to scramble jets on a daily basis?

No mention if “octagon shaped” object….was attached to, or dangling from a balloon……or is itself a balloon.

They are deliberately being vague to mislead us me thinks. Utterly stupid if not down right evil, if they are real ufos, but seriously.

Travelling at 40 mph, okay, that sounds like off world technology. How hard is that to # if they are ufos. Maybe its a test if given the opportunity to shoot down our objects, will they, and they do. Okay, fail ;(

I won't entertain this anymore. It's not the narrative of usual silence of uaps, so its manipulation and I'm sick of it.

How dare they shoot down ufo's, do we give them permission.

How dare they mislead us to think they are ufos, even for a second by being vague.

Either case, reeks of stupidy and ineptitude, backwards goals. Don't they have better # to do.

No but yes. They are being deliberately vague because they don't want who ever sent the balloon to know about any of our capabilities , or the knowledge that we have in regards to the object, and even possibly setting them up for something

No different than even when a high visibility active on going murder case that has a press briefing. In this case the more vagueness is required as it has the potential to expose sensitive security measures and information.

The ufo angle is being pushed by the charlatans and clickity bait MSM that capitalizes on the vagueness. UFO angle also helps in regards to adding confusion and rampant distractions that all help with keeping the truth secret as would be required in a case of national security.

Yes - I hear what you're saying - there's a bizarre twist of irony to it. It's like the inverse of Roswell!

That's a very good point. They could be our future selves. Perhaps they have refined all the evil traits to next level degrees of wrong.

Who knows!

All these conspiracy fears will likely blow over. Though one day the wolf will truly come, in this case likely, Biden feels burned when he and the Military got flack when they didn’t immediately shoot down the Chinese balloon.
Now their trigger happy.

Possible reason why all these objects are suddenly in the news and it is related to the Chinese balloon shot down off the coast of South Carolina. This from exemplore.com...

But some data scientists say this isn’t a sudden invasion, it’s just an adjustment of how we work to detect these objects. Rebekah Jones, a geographer and data scientist (and no stranger to government conspiracy theories), explains in this Twitter thread that it’s a matter of radar technicians and other national security watchdogs lowering the threshold when it comes to the size of the objects they monitor.

They have been trained on aircraft-sized objects, and filter out smaller ones so that every flock of birds doesn’t alert their sensors , but after shooting down a spy balloon from China on February fourth, they’ve decided to look for smaller objects.

“These weren’t necessarily launched or sent recently, we just never looked for them,” she explains. “Now we are. And we’re finding there are quite a few of them there.”

There’s no telling what these things are in the sky, but there are more of them than we’ve ever suspected.
