Are the southerners Scottish?

I did say "where i hail from".

Anyhoo we really are drifting way off-topic now.

Probably best to return to a semblance of the subject of the thread before we piss off the mods.

Oh I remember you saying you were in Scotland at present, you never really gave full disclosure (look there a U) that you were Scottish.

that's way cooler than being British... cheers

He's not ethnically Scottish.

Most young people are liberal; as they age and see the results of liberal politics in action (and on their paycheck/takes) their views become more conservative.

that's been taken as folk wisdom about how people's views change as they age, but i'm not so sure that's true of every generation. i think it might have a lot to do with what era you were born into and grew up in, to some degree.

i know when i was 18, people in their fifties were telling me that was how it would go, and as i come up on their age i'm more liberal than i was then. i think for those younger than me, you can't really bet that they're going to grow into a more conservative mindset -- especially the more they learn about how republican politicians created policies that have set the younger generations at such an economic disadvantage.

Deep state ensured there was no red wave.

Oh no, oopsies the voting machines are down. Sorry you'll have to wait. Oh sorry you waited but it's after 8, you can't vote now.

"Wave" depends on one's point of view.

"Majority" is the goal.

Republicans are on their way to House MAJORITY.

I reckon it’s more down to the GOPs campaigning than anything else.

Literally handed dozens of easy win issues to run on by the ineptitude of the Democrat administration. Everything is a disaster. And what do they do?

Advocate total abortion bans, which are seemingly unpopular even in deep red states.
Screech incoherently about God and the bible. Which no one gives a # about. Younger voters are especially hostile to this.

Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. I blame Mitch McConnell. Mostly because he looks like a turtle.

How many candidates should have done a MUCH better job on the campaign trail?
Not everyone has the charisma of JFK. But a lot of them sucked.
All the great topics not discussed enough by those running: inflation, crime, the border, parent's rights, sexualizing children, etc.

That is exactly what I’m talking about. There were so many commercials I wouldn’t even turn the tv on.
All of them were just about Abortion, which is so silly because the majority of people are OK with it, so what is the point.

LOL, I made a post the other day about a commercial I watched out of Michigan featuring a male trucker convincing everyone abortion is cool. Keep on truckin...ladies that require an abortion...

Other side of the coin, but same thing, lmao

If it happens (the fact that it's not guaranteed is certainly an indictment of how poor the GOP did) their majority is going to be so narrow that they're going to fall into infighting.

There's definitely no chance your prophecy of Trump being named Speaker of the House coming true. In fact, we might be heading to a situation where Liz Cheney has a better chance of being named Speaker.

What ethnicity do you imagine me to be RMFX1?

Oh, that's right, if memory serves, you accused me of being a Pakistani Muslim or whatnot at one point.

Although I'm sure you offered up some more colorful descriptions at the time did you not? LoL

Hate to burst your bubble but I'm a plain old white fellow, christened a protestant.

Why talk like that when the final outcome of the 2022 midterm is not yet known?

Are you only looking at what the "Banner" says on the nightly news? If so, I understand your statement.

The Republican House Majority in January will set up investigative committees, similar to the Jan 6th committee, but structured more legitimately.

High Profile Democrats (Pelosi, Biden, Obama, Clinton, Fauci, and more) will be exposed, which will increase the Republican House/Senate/State majorities in 2024, when Donald Trump is re-elected to a second term as U.S. President.

If you were really honest and informed you’d know that’s nonsense. The margin matters substantially. First it was 60 additional red seats and now it’s down to just the “majority”.

Your mental gymnastics are adorable…👍🏾

No. But it’s hardly the colossal blowout it should’ve been.

And GOP campaigning has been nothing short of diabolically poor. Some of the candidates were even worse.

I actually did re-read it. It didn't make any sense -- which I expected you did on purpose.

I was gonna delete my post -- but what the heck. Left it for fun.

No. At this point it’s obvious, except to the delusional Trump cultists, that the Trump orbit creates losers.

Maybe the GOP has a death wish I’m not aware of, but politically the man in FL is the leader and Trump is fired.

If it wasn’t for the 100 million insane Liberals in NY, IL, PA and the entire west coast, this country could right itself in no time.

I thought the Republicans still did pretty good.

Deeeheeecent, actually.

I can’t tell if it’s satire, or you’re really serious?

Even Fox says the GOP has to take a real good look at what happened because they performed so dismally.
