Again you are not paying attention. The problem with Maricopa is not with people filling out the ballots incorrectly. It's with a machine that the election workers programmed to read a ballot the election workers printed incorrectly and the machine rejecting them.

Machines will accept double bubbles or not fully completed ballots etc... I have been known to purposely not fill in certain races on machine read ballot and my ballotnis still accepted by the machine. So you claiming this is some stupid people not filling out a ballot correctly is not true in this case.

And even if it was people not filling out a ballot properly a 20% rejection rate is still in some ways the election officials fault because ballots are meamt to be vetted and tested and idiot proofed. Under no circumstances should a well written and formatted ballot have a 20% failure rate because of idiots.

You are falling into that problem we have in the US where incompetent workers should get accolades, tips and high wages for doing shoddy work.

Are you in AZ too? Or speaking generally?

People who are paying attention know exactly what went horribly wrong last time, know what laws were broken, know what safeguards were weakened and ignored, and know what to watch for this time, know how to fight back.

If Kari or Mark Finchem loses and they don't believe it was fair and honest, they'll fight. They'll fight hard. And they will have the legal standing to do so.

I'm not sure even the Dems have the testicular fortitude for that fight. They may prefer to let Team Kari win and then isolate and ostracize her.

I'm speaking generally and on the post you referenced I wasn't speaking about the politicians but about the election officials, the people who print the ballots, count the ballots, program the machines, move ballots from station to HQ, etc....

The only reliable way is hand filled out, placed into a lock box that nobody has a key to except someone at the counting location.

Even that is not completely safe but at least it would be easier to find the culprit.

that's exactly what has always been done, we need to move on though, because time always moves forward, sticking to the past is only holding us back, we have technology to make true democracy a reality so why do you all insist on hiding and trying to make it as difficult as possible to move out of the past, its time the old made way for the new.

" most actual democracies have gone digital already . "

The United States is Not a Democracy , it's a " Democratic Republic " . We Have " Checks and Balances " , Not Majority Rule . Electronic Voting Machines are Flawed because their Technology Can be Compromised . Paper Ballots are More Secure . Once Checked or Written On , Any Changes Made to them CAN Be Detected .

Only if you ignore pretty much anyone with 2 brain cells in the tech industry that cares about security that have been screaming for years that these machines are not secure.

But yea sure new tech gadget lets use it, let a private company build it and control it I mean its only for voting what could possibly go wrong.

Remember when Democrats hated voting machines because of that business in Florida and Al Gore back in 2000?

How have the tables have turned.

Your concerns are well taken, and certainly not to be taken lightly. There are so many moving parts so to speak, and all need to function properly.

But we've worked long and hard preparing for this election. Whether incompetence or outright fraud, hopefully we're ready for whatever might go wrong.

America walked Rome's footsteps decades ago when the MIC seized power and transformed the nation into an oligarchy.

If anything Trump was attempting to restore some semblance of the Republic.

I fear that next time the ruling oligarchy is challenged, the challenger will not be America's Cincinnatus, but it's Caesar.

so disappointing what fellow Americans have become, i always thought we were better than this but i guess America is really going to follow the footsteps of rome, the destruction of our republic then a corrupt empire that will hollow itself out, thanks trump.

dood, are you high? this has to be the stupidest post on ATS to date. Trump isn't in charge of elections in Maricopa County. Katie Hobbs is. This election day didn't sneak up on anyone. We all knew today is voting day. So when you are in charge of elections on voting day, and things fall apart, there is but one place to look, and one place to put the blame. And it's not Donald Trump. You have DERPed harder than any DERP prior to this post. Well done.

Well if we are honest Hobbs is an idiot, so it just might have snuck up on her.

What I saw of her "campaign" made it look like she wasnt sure she was running for office.

I so wish for an honest election. As for the reality of the situation... As Joe is counting all the votes, my money is on a Dem win. ...

Joe is not counting any votes. By law, the President plays no role in Federal elections at all. There are laws against ANY Federal official influencing or attempting to influence the outcome of a Federal election. In fact, those are some of the laws Trump is suspected of violating when he sent his squad of flying monkeys to the Capitol on Jan.6, 2021. Federal elections are conducted by state and local elections. This is one reason why "rigging" Federal elections by some kind of central conspiracy is extremely implausible--you would have to somehow coordinate similar clandestine activities in more than 175,000 separate precincts all across the country simultaneously and not get caught.

Governor candidate, AZ
If you have already *checked in* at a Maricopa County voting location where the tabulators do not work, you should *not* leave and go to another location without casting a vote. Your provisional ballot at the new location likely will not count. (1/2)...

If you have already checked in at a Maricopa County voting location where the tabulators do not work, you can (1) wait for your ballot to be tabulated on site, (2) ask to use the handicapped voting machine, or (3) leave your ballot in a box to be counted later. (2/2)

In Maricopa county, which is the greater Phoenix area, One in five voting machines in the area are malfunctioning today. 20% Down.

gettr.com...

This kind of cheat makes a lot of sense since Democrats usually mail in their ballots weeks before actual election day.

The goal of Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs is to cause enough Republicans to become frustrated and go home.

Katie has lost much of her bluster these last few days. I may be overconfident... or misreading the signs... but I don't think Katie is confident at all.... she knows she's done and dusted and is in damage control mode.

I sure hope so...

If people could vote online? Are you insane? It is impossible to secure such a system in a way that there is no chance of manipulation by entities both inside and out. Spend a day at a security conference in some of the talks, and you'll see how sideways that would go in a hurry.

Look at the rollout of Healthcare.gov for additional issues such as capacity. Every election would be a DDoS attack on the system just from people trying to vote, not even the actual DDoS attacks that would happen. The DDoS protection services wouldn't be up to the task as every country that wants to sow chaos in the US would pile on fully. Hell, you would have people in the US doing the exact same thing if only to cause chaos.

Using any voting machines is not quite as bad, but still bad, especially if you pay attention to the information from the voting village at DEF CON. Every single machine can be popped locally and remotely with ease.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Take a look at this:

www.thegatewaypundit.com...

They got a hotline and tipline setup nationwide for voting problems. And how much of our tax dollars went into these systems? Sounds like epic failure to me. I want a refund.
