"Laying flowers on Victory Day over Nazism | Legion "Freedom of Russia"

Freedom of Russia Legion honour those who died fighting Nazis 79 years ago and remember their own fallen warriors who died fighting the modern equivariant 79 years later.

On the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, legionnaires honored those who fell in the fight against Nazism: 79 years ago and in our time.

The entire civilized world celebrates the date of victory over Nazism on May 8th - the day the Act of Unconditional Surrender came into force - and we support this tradition. Not with cries of victory, but with a quiet laying of flowers in memory of the Centurion, the Apostle, Chicha, Skif, the Surgeon, who gave their lives for our peaceful tomorrow.

Today we, legionnaires, continue the work of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers. Shoulder to shoulder with our brothers-in-arms from the Ukrainian and Russian volunteer units, we are fighting the plague of the 21st century - Putin’s Nazis.

And, like our ancestors, we will win.

Russians have started the offensive in Kharkiv region.
Source: Kyiv Independent

Just today early in the morning the Russian missile injured two people, including an eleven year old child, and set three houses on fire.

Russian missile strike sets houses ablaze in Kharkiv

The fierce fights have been going on in some nearby villages; Strelecha, Krasne, Pylna, Borysivka. They are now allegedly occupied. "Allegedly" because I got that information from some Ukrainian guy on Twitter but it hasn't been confirmed.

If Russians manage to take Kharkiv, it will be their important strategic success. They failed once though.

10 May Update

Russian forces began an offensive operation along the Russian-Ukrainian border in northern Kharkiv Oblast on the morning of May 10 and made tactically significant gains.

Russian forces recently marginally advanced near Donetsk City and in the Donetsk-Zaporizhia Oblast border area.

Word on the street is this “legionnaire” group or whatever, has Volgograd in a cauldron lmao

Gortex, I would focus on space exploration. Because it seems that’s easier.

You’re the only one that’s posting/grasping what’s left about some “legionnaire” group here.

Have you checked the news recently? Apparently on some new probe in northern Kharkov?

Seems these “legionnaires”/their PR side or whatever is left from it, should focus on that instead of some PR nonsense BS that no one cares about.

This “legionnaire group” was celebrating May 9th? Against the LOSER Ukrainian Nazi SS Stepan Bandera defeat and surrender ?

Where from? Wales? lol

Not really , it's easy to see how a popular uprising in Russia would be the end of Putin.

Denys Davydov doesn't think Russia will be successful anytime soon in taking Kharkiv. I would add just look at how long it took Russia to take Bakhmut and Avdiivka, both of those took a long time and they are both much smaller than Kharkiv.

Ukraine had to build their defense lines some distance from the border, because if they built them too close, they would have been under attack by Russia while building them. So entering the buffer zone near the border wasn't that hard for Russia to do, but apparently Russia got attacked a lot after doing so, and breaking Ukraine's prepared defense lines, should they reach them, should be much harder. Although, it seems Ukraine didn't make their defense lines quite as robust as the Russian "surovikhin lines", partly because they said they didn't want to put millions of land mines on their own country like Russia did. But it was the land mines in particular that had a devastating role in stopping Ukraine's counter-offensive last year, especially since Russia had triple-stacked the anti-tank mines which even destroyed de-mining equipment when three anti-tank mines all went off at the same time, the demining equipment couldn't handle that.

Who the hell is Denys?

A YouTuber catering to his viewers for news?

He was wrong about Bahkmut btw, with redundant YouTube headline click bait such as “Bahkmut HOLDS!” (which folded) and recently about Avdiivka btw.

Which in the final days he criticized Zelensky etc which I’ll give him that.

Anyway, surely he knows himself that Kharkov might not be the current push here.

Could be, or could be to stretch the Ukrainian lines thinner elsewhere. Don’t know. Could be anything. We’ll see.

But obviously Denys has to focus on it being whatever he thinks that’ll cater to his viewers.

Just waiting for Denys’s meltdown when Chasov Yar folds coming up.

But he has some good views as well. Just biased obviously to his audience. To each their own.

Anyway, sorry if I came out with harsh criticisms and wish everyone a good weekend bowing out now on this topic.

An interesting development ?

The U. S deployed thousands of paratroopers in an unprecedented sudden and unexpected manner that has raised eyebrows over the deployment. The US and NATO allies are deploying thousands of paratroopers as fears of a Russian ground invasion of neighboring Ukraine loom over the European continent. The deployment of troops to Eastern Europe is a form of support for NATO allies who feel threatened by Russian military movements near the Ukrainian border.

I'm reading 90k troops over 7 nations altogether:

Britain’s 16 Air Assault Brigade and the US’s 82nd Airborne Division will be part of a rapid reaction force if the confrontation between the West and the Kremlin spirals into open conflict. More than 90,000 troops are engaged in military drills in seven countries ranging from the Baltic to the Balkans in preparation for this dire scenario unfolding.

I wonder what the timescale before this deployment was, it does seem out of nowhere with no warning. These aren't proverbial human waves, they'll be fully supported.

Cheers for sharing, this is actually big news which would've slipped by reading MSM. It's being hailed the biggest exercise since the cold war ended.

www.independent.co.uk...

Steadfast Defender 24

Last link is wiki but it gives a brief description of the movements and what's going on. I might have jumped the gun slightly, either way this is hardly insignificant, plenty of info to be had for anyone inclined to read further on this exercise and it's various supporting exercises... Would it really be that difficult to pull a Russia and turn 'training' exercises into a full blown deployment into Ukraine? The difference is we'd be invited. Probably not...

Just figured I'd stoke the embers on this lovely evening
