That did happen, many people faced losing their jobs. Just because the government U-turned doesn't change the fact.

If someone threatens you then later apologises it doesn't somehow make the initial event disappear from history.

What about masks, ever feel forced or coerced to wear one?

I did, had several people actually lay hands on me in supermarkets for refusing to wear one.
