not sure it matters what he's clasping at, its what he's selling that matters..

interesting timing though..Given the rush from queenies funeral to the UN that overtook a lot of leaders and royals, some even leaving during the ceremony..

the silence on that one is worth remarking on simply by the way its been played down or played for other meaning like truss meeting an angry Biden and Macron at the UN..

Something of a gamble. Every draw of personnel from civilian life builds the chances of reaction.

Militarily, it won't improve the performance of Russian forces. The Russian state has corrupted its military into nigh-complete incompetence.

Cheers

Good.

Let's hope full mobilisation happens soon.

The sooner Ukraine is defeated the better then those in the east and crimea can get to living in peace.

Contracts for soldiers automatically extended until the end of the partial mobilization period i.e. indefinitely

Imagine beiing allready Months in the meat grinder and then read that ....

All those russian soldiers already in the Ukrainian meat grinder are gonna be pretty unhappy when they find out.

Ukraine should immediately drop recordings and printed transcripts of putin's speech and the recent desertion penalty changes on major russian positions, along with welcoming surrender terms.

People who think that (only) russia is committing all sorts atrocities, should at least watch the daily updates uploaded by “marine 1063” either on bitchute or brighteon. He reports from ground zero, contrary to the western media. However, it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s people who will down-play or just simply ignore what he presents. After all, he is not the “honest” and “unbiased” established western media whom we can always trust. He probably uses CGI to fake it all, right?

He's basically just admitted that he's f*cked up, his professional army have failed (and contrary to what some have suggested in the past, he wasn't holding anything back), and now the people of Russia must pay with their lives.

Question is, how many T34s do Russia have to throw into the battlefield alongside their marabunta?

Putin knew many will step out, so this was he`s grande plan to stop it

I think Putin was told his entire professional army was going to quit at the end of their contracts rather than face winter huddling in trenches huntrd by Ukrainian SOF and torched by HIMARS.

And putin's 'solution' is to send more humans to join the suffering?

How is having more humans going to help russian soldiers survive the winter?

No need to answer, he's clearly lost his marbles.

Big picture is that the natives are restless along Russia's southern border.

That happened because the Russian military unwisely stripped their garrisons there to reinforce failure in Ukraine.

So now they need more troops; first, to reinforce battered units in Ukraine, and second, to put a lid on the countries to the south and their desire to reignite ancient local conflicts.

Vladimir may also be unhappy that China told Russia "hands off" regarding Kazakhstan and realizes his troops along the Chinese border may be too few in number to impress Beijing.

Cheers

I'm waiting for the BT-7s to come out of storage. Or did Germany 'help' the USSR dispose of all of those?

Cheers

equally the West stepping up its ability to train civilians into military units at scale is a bigger shift in capability for ukraine and the West that Russia will struggle to match at scale.

the Ukrainian civilians going through basic training in the UK are being kitted out ready for battle so not just the through put of training the masses or arming them, it's all the way through kitting out a volunteer army with all they need for field combat.

I don't think they even have any BT-7s in museums, but china still has a couple thousand T-34s that they'd probably sell back to russia on the cheap.

One thing to take from that video is that Putin is not bluffing.

As the saying goes; you can't polish a turd.
No amount of spin is going to alter the fact that this war is not going Putin's way and he's getting desperate.

He's following Hitler's playbook almost to the letter.....and its looking increasingly like it'll end the same way.
The thing is though, he's failing miserably.
His use of propaganda whilst on the face of it looks grand is in reality pretty lame and hardly convincing. In fact it seems more and more people in Russia itself are beginning to see through his non-stop lies, exaggerations and pathetic attempts at justifying this needless and senseless war.

Hitler's Blitzkrieg tactics in early WWII were very effective - the more military minded amongst us like yourself will have more of an appreciation of that than the likes of I - Putin's seems to have been quite the opposite.
Putin is predictably blaming anyone and everyone but himself. Again, the similarities with Hitler are striking.

Hitler's desire for Lebensraum and a Greater German Reich fuelled much of his desire for war.
No-one can deny how much alike those and current Russian policies are.

Putin is playing on the natural national pride of his people in exactly the same way Hitler did with his.
Putin's surly, aloof arrogance is strikingly similar to Hitler's.
As is his dependence on quack medical practitioners.

Putin's blatant lies and scaremongering about NATO threatening the use of nuclear weapons is predictable.
Its an obvious attempt at justifying his first strike use of nuclear armaments, something he has repeatedly threatened throughout this campaign.
Not something we can compare with Hitler and given Hitler's reluctance to use chemical weapons - for whatever reasons - any comparison is not possible.

As for Putin and his de-nazification programme.
Its laughable and how anyone can take it seriously is, quite frankly, beyond me.
Putin's beloved Wagner Group and other Russian mercenary organisations who are heavily involved in this war are all riddled with Neo-Nazi's.
The Kremlin funded militia's that operated in Luhansk and Donetsk from around 2011 onwards were nearly all exclusively Ultra-Right Wing and Neo-Nazi Militia Units. They provoked, agitated and terrorised throughout the whole of the region. They were exclusively funded and armed by Putin and his supporters.
All by design. It was deliberately aimed at provoking a response from Kiev.....and we all know the rest.
Those self, same Neo-Nazi Militia's are currently fighting as independent units or have been incorporated into Luhansk or Donetsk regular forces.

Anyway, sorry if I strayed a bit.
