Yes, well i hope nuclear power will bounce back , Germany is example how badly they f up everything, they relyed Russia and sametime planned to shut down NPP .

Germany shuts down half of its 6 remaining nuclear plants

if China are such a terrible government then why are our own governments doing deals with them on energy
if they have such a terrible human rights record and treat their people as though they live under a dictatorship
why do China have energy interests in Europe
as mostly all of the chinese companies will be allied with their government in some form or fashion

It`s most likely CCP long term planning to get China lured in to different countrys energy sectors . As we seen with Russia, energy can be used as weapon .

After Russia started war in Ukraine , goverments should not allow China or Russia be any part of energy sector IMO .

Sri Lanka made deals with China, then their economy dive down fast.

So can you give me reason or data that World is getting warmer ? And not just this year or next year but next 2-3 decades ta least.

Historically Cold Summer Confirmed in Recent Report from Met Office

Australia’s Colder-Than-Average Winter; Iceland’s “Historically Cold” Summer; + Antarctica Plunges To -80.5C (-112.9F)

And England had it's warmest summer on record (and is on track for it's warmest ever year) whilst NZ had it's warmest winter (for the 3rd year running)

You may have also missed the record heatwaves in North America, Europe and Asia. And the fact Antarctic sea ice is at a record low minima (for winter)

But, in any case, for global temp trends we look at the whole planet, we don't cherry pick the handful of places that were colder.

So Pentagon knew this ages ago, but our dear goverments just push this climate change version where temperatures are getting hotter, and also push building wind farms without even considering that what if ??

Scientists were predicting a mini ice age in the 1970's. By 1984 the Svalbard Global Seed Vault was completed, where seeds from all over the world are stored, in case of some unknown planetary disaster.

There used to be documentaries about the underground bunkers to house important government officials to keep the country running should a major disaster occur. Now we're told they've nearly all been decommissioned. Maybe they have; maybe they've secretly built more.

The US isn't the only country with DUMBs, which fueled a lot of CT's when added to the seed vault being built and attention was diverted away from what more and more people were beginning to see as plan for the elite to save themselves, and to heck with the rest of us.

Along came Gore with his global warming scam, which has made a lot of people quite wealthy, put people back to sleep and taken the panic out of 'climate change'.

A world-wide water crisis has been building for decades and should be the number one eco topic, but little attention - or efforts to stop its wasteful advancement - is ever discussed.

We hear a lot about how the planet is overpopulated and cannot be sustained at the rate it's increasing. The 1% seem to have a plan; one that's been in the works for decades. If you want to put your tinfoil hat on you see why attention may be deliberately directed elsewhere.

Depends on how mini the ice age is, I mean technically a good portion of these windfarms are loving arctic breezes and cold airs anyways I would assume. How much temperature variations do they usually see and operate in and what would you expect them to reach in an ice age scenario?

The longer an ice age lasts the taller those windmills get too lol. There'll always be some energy from seasonal arctic breezes though.

It is not simply a warm/cold phenomenon.

Warmer temperatures can result in more freshwater flow into the North Atlantic Ocean, which, in turn, can alter the effects of the Gulf Stream. A weaker Gulf Stream would produce colder weather for Europe, among other effects.

Fire or ice? Guess we'll see ... or perhaps not.

Cheers

This is what is suspect , that " attention may be deliberately directed elsewhere "

But it is still conspiracy theory yes, and i cant prove anything.

UK?

We have such crazy weather patterns at times, it can be sunny Scotland while it snows down south, usually the other way around but ya know!

I can't remember snow or much frost last winter tbh, it got wet but it drove temps up if I remember. The cold snaps seem to be later and later these days even drifting into April although I think we avoided the worst of it this year.

There's so much going on around these little islands that even if the windmills failed we could repurpose the turbines elsewhere. As long as the moon spins and we spin some systems will always work regardless of the gulf stream or prevailing arctic winds. We're probably best placed to adapt if the time comes.

In Finland , at some point last winter , if i remember the measuring ..it was about 80 cm snow . This meaned i cant go walking outside road without ski or snowshoes.

Hopefully, things continue without much change in temperatures, the big issue is now electricity .

why does a chinese corporation own wind farms in Scotland indeed
time to write the scottish gov

its bad enough we get charged an arm and leg for our free energy
never mind we are selling of the land to chinese firms

I wonder if the Sceptic Scot will stop in and share his hate for the truth on this one. He seems to like all the Marxist twists in America well enough he should like this too. I suspect you are right about it should be a Scottish business supporting the Scottish citizen's needs. Kinda like a mini MAGA, we could call it MSGA! While we are at it, we can take the laws out about man made CO2 and deal with the real issues.

I can't move articles about (or should I say I don't know how) NASA has been saying a solar minimum has been on the card starting in the 2024/ 2025 area for an ice age or a very very cold time. The climate people don't want you to look at that.
If you would care to look, not only is China got it's finger into UKs wind farms they are also in the mix for the new nuclear plant at Hinkley Point.

You have to recall that we're in a triple dip LA Nina too. This is not a common thing.

It`s troubling if China has fingers also in nuclear plant, it should be big no no .

la nina ....little girl means wet and cold.
la nino.....little boy means dry and hot.
these are old south American terms for the weather patterns that come from the Pacific Ocean....
I live in AUS and we are entering our 3rd la nina.....more annoying rain.
last summer...rain, this winter....rain, and now this summer to be more rain.... a reply to: Kenzo

Kind of makes sense if western Europe and the North sea was having a lot of warm moist air, usually it's when those cold airs drift south enough we get a bit snow... That didn't happen last year and that plays a lot into your link

Hopefully, things continue without much change in temperatures, the big issue is now electricity .

We'll manage our problems, we can't do anything about the planet but watch and prepare. It'll regulate itself as it always does.

Idk, to go a bit out there maybe a moving of the jet stream wouldn't be all that bad in the long run. Desertification is happening regardless of our efforts to push it along... Our treatment of water is just savage frankly. A reset in newer pristine lands like the Sahara for instance could be good for us.

Do things properly and tap the excess kind of thing, we don't even need to leave lands that long for them to renew themselves anyways but that's enough off-topicness.

I can state my truth?

The western world adheres to the ideal of a free market, that means in principle I, you or anybody else with capital can invest in a company that is selling shares and/or seeking private investors.

It's probably not the thread to debate the intricacies of a free market, the rights of an individual Vs a corporation Vs a state. Is there any difference between a Chinese corporation and political party? Probably jokes to be made there I'm sure...

National interests and subsidies is a theme often discussed on topics here at times. Anyone who loves Trump, capitalism and everything western really won't like the solutions to the problems we face. It's subsidies to the individual out of national interest, stifling profiteering in strategic resources out of national interest and foreclosing on national infrastructure due to national interests.

Or take the laws away from the corporations? Just that simple... They need more laws, it's us the individuals that need less.
