As another poster pointed out, they knew this early on and yet they still deemed something that increases your risk.
Smokers were even given early access to the vaccines.

You know what else protects against Covid - asthma. Way back in March 2020, they knew asthmatics weren't getting severe Covid. In June 2020, even my doctor (who was the head of department of a well-known University), told me asthmatics were less likely to get Covid. But up until a few months ago, asthma was still considered a major cause of severe Covid.

First they thought it was the asthma medicine offering protection, then they found asthmatics produce a protective type of white blood cell. Interestingly enough, a few years prior, drug companies were really pushing a medicine that helps asthma by reducing this cell. I put off trying it because it was 12k a year and my old insurance didn't cover it. I switch insurance and was about to try it when Covid started.

I smoke a pack a day, and I have covid.

I have smoked for 35 years and Im not dead.

So if I use the same logic as these vaccine idiots cigarettes' are safe and effective.

Never get sick either.

In South Africa we've had several tobacco bans along with the lock-downs.

That's why I keep a pack of nicotine gum in the medicine cabinet. If the coof gets me I'll chew a few, it sure couldn't hurt.

If this is true, it would explain the recent efforts against vaping. Vaping wound be a cleaner delivery system for the nicotine without the tar and other materials in actual smoke.

Or, it could simply be because non-smokers, and anti-smoking campaigners, don't distinguish between the two.

I smoke and have also had the virus, can't recommend either.

You can put all kinds of material in a vape pin and smoke it. I prefer to smoke all the vax and boosters, just in case.

while I am a smoker myself, I do find these adverts from yesteryear as about as false as it gets

Your logic is vaccines dont stop infection and efficacy is how well it keep you out of the hospital.

I was referring to all the vax idiots who say things like you guys are crazy cts for thinking this vax is bad . I took it and im fine so it must be safe and effective.

In other words you have no logic

Sources in my signature demonstrate that vaxxing reduces infection by around 85 percent for vanilla covid, and various amounts for he different variants but typically over 80 percent. Which is on par with Chickenpox and Measles vaxes.

And I'm pretty sure that reducing the severity of covid is considered a really good thing. Again, source are in my signature to show this.
