From what I see from the damage it was likely taken out with around 50 pounds of high explosives placed in one side of the stone with sand bags tamping the explosives.
That is why you see smaller pieces of broken stone blasted out to one side and none out the other side but you can see the ground stripped by the blast wave. This is from the sand stripping the surface of the ground.
This was done by a skilled blaster that knew what he was doing, not some unskilled prankster.

You asked me earlier about the text I quoted.

It's from a letter supposedly written by Albert Pike. It's highly contested by sceptics as to it's validity but as time goes by, it's actually falling into place.

I will quote from the pdf I have saved and try and link a source.
