I don't understand what the west hopes to achieve by supplying Ukraine with weapons and military intelligence.
For me it will only prolong the war and result in many unnecessary civilian deaths. Ukraine cant and wont beat Russia so this tinkering is doing nothing other than making money for arms companies and killing people.
As usual the US/UK are interfering and making problems worse. They should either go in 100% which would start world war 3 or butt out.

So you are suggesting, either start WW3 killing everyone, or let Russia take any country they like while we just watch ?

I think finding something between those two options is the smartest, as they are doing right now.

You think these weapons being shipped to Ukraine are free?

Supplying weapons will help shorten the war very much. It will help Russians realize sooner that Russia is no longer a superpower. Then they can forget about invading Georgia, Moldova and bunch of other states that Russia traditionally considers part of their empire. And then the US won't have to get directly involved either.

Maybe we should have stayed out of it when Hitler's thugs invaded Poland in 1939.

I am sure the world would have been a better place if we had. Don't you think ?

not at all, hence why I said it is about making money for arms companies.

But we did a bit more than supply arms to Poland, so for me its all or nothing as weapons alone wont be enough to defeat the Russians. So are you saying we should do more and go on the offensive with Western forces?

Part of the money goes into the weapon industry (politicians own shares), part of the money goes into Hunter and his friends pockets.
The weapons are funneled to terrorists to prepare for the next terror attacks....

Do you seriously anyone cares about the Ukrainians?

Western politicians don't even care about their own citizens

Isn't the answer simple? You said it yourself. Follow the money! There is really not much more to it that that, besides it being a nice distraction.

Hitler was given an ultimatum. Putin hasn't received his yet.

I'm thinking you understand perfectly fine but choose not to admit the case.

They're trying to stop an expansionist Russia , if there were no response to the invasion of Ukraine why would they stop there.

As usual the US/UK are interfering and making problems worse.

I disagree , Russia caused the problem the rest of us are trying to deal with it by standing up to Russian aggression.

Expansionist Russia? That is quite a strong word considering the fact that the last time it happened was over 70 years ago and since that time Russia only shrunk in size.

Also, are you sure Russia caused the problem? Wasn't the West meddling in Ukrainian politics and quite literally funding it's military? I don't think you are being objective here.

So why would you naturally assume that gives Russia the ok to invade ?

I think it's just political party division and derision based as the only "agenda" if you think about it who is Donald Trump married too and what party is/was he and what were his Russian ties strength wise during that time? Opposition to that party would of course naturally want to stir the pot in anything after that especially with the accusation of voter fraud still being investigated with mainstream media having to report Russia being a prime source or candidate... when poxy and IP can be routed or appear to come from anywhere.

Unfortunately the generations wise to all of that sort of business are being ruled by the TV was still in black and white and calculators didn't even exist yet... colorful remarks about the people on it didn't change it to the RGB spectrum any quicker.

Thinking "proxy" or some other 3rd agenda is wise no matter what is occuring... not knowing that agenda is beneficial to too many people that are used to being in on the "take" from stock trading to laws/statutes surrounding and then the dollars clotheslining anyone unaware of sub statute 16 sections 12a-17c it's absolutely insane and federally unconstitutional that people would use the declaration of independence and bill of rights to manipulate a lot of the populous out of a future worth living.

The easy one everyone 18 right to vote... that is the law of the land and the only legal one surrounding voting on the federal level... all of those other "laws and statutes" about voting? Party based or by proxy so what's the agenda? Why these things are not asked and dealt with when they have come up? I don't know but since the law at the federal level is clearly defined? Treasonous is all the other attempts to change it.

The Western world has dominated the world economy and military might, which has given them majority control of natural resources for decades. That climate has been rapidly changing in recent times, with China becoming a much bigger player.

I think to change the status quo, countries would have to align and either try to take the top position by force- which would lead to total planetary devastation- or by taking over the world's financial system.

It's looks like Putin is trying to use all three strategies at once; alignment of countries against the Western world, force and dominance of world currency.

JMO.

Since you agree that the western countries were forcefully influencing political and ideological environment of the (supposedly) free country of Ukraine, then it's only logical that Russia is defending interests of people of (east) Ukraine, considering the fact that they actively tried to resolve these issues diplomatically for the last 8 years.
edit on 5-6-2022 by 13ssA because: mistake was made, I meant "east" Ukraine, not "west"

Obfuscation.

Distraction.

Destruction of information that would be detrimental to the current US regime.

The usual.

I'm not talking 70 years ago I'm talking now with a Russia led by a man with complete control of power and who sees the break up of the USSR as a tragedy of humanity and seeks to right that perceived wrong.

Also, are you sure Russia caused the problem? Wasn't the West meddling in Ukrainian politics and quite literally funding it's military? I don't think you are being objective here.

Pretty sure is was Russia who invaded Ukraine and set about destroying its cities so yeah Russia caused the problem , it would show arrogance in the extreme if Putin didn't expect this reaction to his invasion.
