I was watching the show Yellowstone and noticed that there are no TVs in the bunkhouse, John's house, or the cabin. Then when the vegan was visiting the ranch the cook didn't know what gluten was. Yet even without all that information the work still gets done, people still survive, and the world continues. Would we as a society be better off without television, social media, ext.?

Now, the issue for me is that it may give government and corporations free reign to do whatever they want. Honestly they do this now right in front of our faces and rarely do we make a difference.

Interesting research showing that the majority of twitter accounts are bots created to divide us.

Ironic that I ponder the pros and cons of such a radical change while creating a post on the internet.

What does being a vegan have to do with gluten intolerance? One is a personal lifestyle choice and the other is an actual physiological condition.

Social media, tv, tech information is a double edge sword.
Never in the history of humans have we had a more literate society.
Yes of course we can survive but there is more to life than survival. There is art, entertainment, music, etc.
A lot of those things would not be available without technology.

I also found Yellowstone quite ironic. In the end you really have feelings for the family even though they are a rich powerful family taking advantage of those in the lower rungs of society. Please don’t argue this point, if you have to brand any human you are taking advantage of them.

I was just saying that when you live that kind of lifestyle you may not even know what gluten is. That family although the show is fiction, has been on that ranch for hundreds of years.

100% agree with you. I also felt bad for the Dutton's, mainly because of how the larger corps and government were doing all they could to take the land.

Pretty sure anyone who bakes knows about gluten and that it has nothing to do with veganism.

What?

OH C’mon man, you know all those gluten free vegans that wear cropped tights with their man buns and read news on their iPhone 13. They want an avocado toast made with free trade avocado and gluten free toast, toasted in an ethically made toaster.

My toaster is an egregious example of excess and is not suited for that type of person.

Do tell!!!!
I’m on toaster #4 and my family thinks I’m crazy. I might just go back to making it in the oven.
I’ve looked at those commercial toasters that the bread goes on the slide thing.

Did I mention we don’t even eat that much toast, but when we do I want it to be great.

Probably NOT

I have friends that are gluten sensitive and gluten intolerant and heard that shampoos/conditioners and hair care products can have a lot of gluten in them.

Gluten is what makes cakes, bread and other pastries hold their form after they rise. A dough is intentionally kneaded to produce gluten.
So yeah, every baker knows what gluten is.

It's a Wolf 4 slice, never burns my toast. Does bagels like a mofo too, only toasts the inside.

Unless you're a writer on this Jellystone show, then you are confused.

I think sam Elliott recently commented on one of these new cowboy shows.
Something about them wearing their chaps all the time.
The writer today don't seem to have a clue.

Totally getting it, but the 2 slice version. One of the 4 toasters I got rid of was pretty decent, but it was a 4 slice. Im the type of person that doesn’t like a lot of appliances on the counter. So hauling that beast in and out of the pantry was too much so I got a different 2 slice, and it sucked (I think cuisinart) Then I thought oh maybe the cheap ones would be better, and got a 2 slice, it totally sucked, threw that away because I didn’t even feel like it was worthy of donation. Then got another 2 slice, its better but SUCKS at bagels, it does toast just the inside but unevenly which is very annoying.
