Stars. We should be able to see who starred a post.

I recognize bots and pseudo AI all the time, some more sophisticated than others.

Any bot or AI you're able to recognize in part by something like a star patterns isn't the AI you need to be worried about.

In a general sense if you're depending on some bit of information to make assessments, that bit of information will be manipulated by anybody or anything sophisticated enough to merit your concern.

We... um, I mean THEY, they always win in the end.

I was going to add something, after that. Then if stars have a name, and you wanted to protect your "privacy" then you wouldn't star such and such posts, for such and such reason. The stars still meaningless but you wouldn't want someone to know you starred this post? for whatever reason? Then don't star it. Doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to see who, just because you might want to post a star but not have anyone make some correlation between what you say and why you starred it.

IF you're really against people building a credit score to your name. Don't post at all right? Only way.

that behavior would be easy to identify after reading on here for a few weeks with named stars.

you're not really going learn anything, it will still be nebulous at best. It will however present another data point other than just what someone personally says, it will at least show who read a post and for some reason pressed star. Even if by accident it will show who is reading a thread.


I sort of see the persons privacy concern better now, Still like I said just don't be logged in don't post if you don't want people "thinking" about who you are.

Disagree. If we did then users would be to focused on who starred them or didn't versus the content itself.

Besides ,its all silly and abused already . You already have certain users that star based on the the cliq or cult that they belong too . Then you have the whole star bug as well.
