That is kind of what i mean by saying they are meaningless as they are.

If the star showed who gave it to them, People would create their own reasons for why you did that. You would be aware of that so maybe someone who always says, I hate God. Wouldn't star a post about loving God. Because they know others would see that and think, This person is a bit fuitless no?

I barely get any stars and I'm like the best person to ever post on here, I may be the second coming of " some other popular poster on here. " I really think so.

By the way I like your posts, but you need to add a little space between the images and the text. When you put them on the side of a paragraph. They're just too close a little space and it would be like a professional news story. and you reused a few of them! I noticed.

Well you see some people can draw correlations with data that is not voiced by CNN. Stars are kind of in that same vein. We thinking people can assign positions to those people who's posts we read all the time. It would be nice to see who is in agreement with what to better flesh out our "intelligence" report on said members of the forum.

That is the general feeling I got while reading on here for x amount of years. I wont say your point isn't correct though. With names stars could be used to troll or subvert ones "expectations".

Still either way it would be better than these anon stars. I hate to say it but since I am new I have noticed stars on posts of certain leanings. Appearing almost instantly, Where a more controversial viewpoint may wait a while to get one. I can't help but wonder who is the person reading the thread to agree with this or that.

Not every thread moves like lightening on here, So you have some time to ponder who is reading but not posting? Why not give us another way to know?

This is the internet circa 2022. We can't put past some advanced media programmed AI posting on topics, Just look at GPT-2 bots and know they are actually more advanced.

Luckily the world isn't only concerned about what YOU want and what YOU say NEEDS to be implemented. This sounds like a back door way to establish a members scoring system to me. You want to know who agrees or disagrees with your post, read through comments, anything more than that and ATS might as well never have come back.

Look I don't know what your intentions are but anytime I see someone putting "feelers" out involving things that lead to less privacy and put us on a slippery slope, I get real suspicious. That's what this feels like to me.

The star system in the debate forum when people here used to actually debate where a great way of determining a winner, but those days were well before this place turned into a political battleground

Never said it was embarrassing, I said it's a slippery slope and an easy back door to people being scored on their opinions/views. Social credit score kind of thing.
