"The time will come for the men responsible for this to answer for their behavior, but not today. Today we grieve, we pray, and we hope to God this fate never befalls another."

If this nation has anything to fear, it's Tom DeLay and his kind. And I say that as a CHRISTIAN and a REPUBLICAN.

Finaly.

This case has been raped by left and right wingers for weeks gone straight. The Women deserves to die in peace, yet, I also hope that somehow this case will allow her to see how much people cared for her, and how divided truely America is.

He is an extremist and had a very dubious past. In my eyes he is just another hungry power self proclaim Cristian kissing up to the groups that want to take away our civil rights substitute it by the bible persecute gays and anybody that doesn't follow his radical bible views.

He will love to intruded in our bedrooms and our private lives in the name of his god.

Worry not, Marg. DeLay's time may just about be up. He has been scolded by the ethics committee and is under investigation for various illegalities, most notably for his involvement in Texas redistricting (2002). Shame on the ethics committee. He shoulda got a lot more than a mere scolding. He's as crooked as they come. His meddling in the Shiavo case stinks to the heavens. Opportunism of this kind is abominable.

I don't know if anyone ran across this little article or now. There was one last appeal last night, and well, it was denied also..
but well, here are the comments of one of the judges....

---------------------------------------------------------

"One of the Atlanta judges, Justice Stanley Birch, assailed as unconstitutional a law passed by Congress and signed by Bush that sought to get the Schiavo case reviewed by pushing a case long ruled on by state courts into federal courts.
"In resolving the Schiavo controversy it is my judgment that, despite sincerity and altruistic motivation, the legislative and executive branches of our government have acted in a manner demonstrably at odds with our Founding Fathers' blueprint for the governance of a free people -- our Constitution," Birch wrote in an opinion."
----------------------------------
and then.....
-----------------------------
""We must conscientiously guard the independence of our judiciary and safeguard the Constitution, even in the face of the unfathomable human tragedy that has befallen Mrs Schiavo and her family," Birch wrote in his scathing assault on the law as an intrusion into the judicial branch of power."
reuters.myway.com...
-----------------------------------------------------
As for the "Bleeding Heart Liberal Judges"....
well, who appointed Birch to the Appeals Court??
-----------------------------------------------------

"Carnes, Dubina and Birch were all appointed to the Appeals Court by Bush's father, former President Bush. "
www.courttv.com...
-----------------------------------------------------

seems as though he was appointed by none other than the President's father.......

I do pray that Terri finds a better existance than what she left here, and believe that she will.....
but, well, I also pray that we can get these religous wackos out of office before they damage our constitution beyond repair. And, I'm finding it hard to even call them Christian, if they keep this up, they will harm the Christian faith very badly.

Finally, Terri is at peace. The circus can go home now. God rest her soul.

sadly if a judge had not condemend a defensless woman to be starve to death, claiming to be a "humain death", there would have been a circus...
also calling circus to a group of people who dont see the "humanity" in starvation of a defenseless human beeing...not even criminals get that treatment....

soon everyone will see that there is no U TURN on the "humain starvation" road, and there will be many more Terri Schaivo's, and maybe when it knocks on our door, we wont see the humanity of it either............

LET IT BE PEACE ON EARTH.........sure ...!

Yes I heard the news on the comment by the judges and quite strong comments against the president and the congress.

One could only hope that this would be the end of the circus, but we are only entering into the second act. So much for dying with dignity--hell, so much for dignity what-so-ever...

About time, now, can CNN, MSNBC, so forth get back to the news? Not gonna say anything about Fox, they never were news, so can't go back to news.

Seriously, this kind of bs takes things like news, reality, things that matter off the news and replace things with religon, ignorance, stupidity, opinion.

Im glad she died, not because Im a sadistic person, but because it became too "political" over something that should have been private and get over with quickly. Now from this experience, all americans should learn from the lessons in florida, be precise in your living will, and make it known if you would want to live or die if you were in terri's state.

Personaly, if I was in the State she was in, I would want everything physically possible to fix whatever problem may be wrong with me.Now if there was no way possible of fixing me, I would want to wait atleast 2 years, then I would want to die.

On another note, I wish they would have chosen a better way for her to pass away, not being straved to death.

My 2 Cents.

I still don't get why he didn't just divorce her when he got with the new woman. Would have saved us all the bother this whole time. It seems he's moved on a long time ago...why not just give her up to the parents?

Guess it's no point in arguing about it now, huh?

That's a good point. What would it have hurt for Terri's husband to give custody of her to the family? Did he believe so strongly in her wish to be let go of or was it some kind of money/property issue?

Your wife isn't a pet. You don't give up that responsibilty and oath just because someone else wants to play with her.

He could have done so and been rich, but didn't. No good deed goes unpunished.

Nah, ya just go find some chick to bang on the side 'til your wife croaks naturally.

There are some things in life that are terribly complicated, like this situation. To make such a comment as your wife isn't a pet is just assinine.

Actually ECK I watched the case of a lady that her husband was in the same situation she said that she made a promised and she would never be able to live in peace if she did not fulfill the promised.

She said that her actions of letting her husband die, has ostracized her from not only her husband's family but also her own mother, her religious convictions made her side with her daughter's in laws, so she said on TV that until this day after 10 years her mother doesn't talk to her.

When the reporter ask her if she has any regrets, she said that she didn't.

See this things happen around our nation with families taking decisions of life and death.

Kinda my feelins on it to. Once he did that, was time to give her up.

Guess that's why my old lady knows that once I croaked, thats it, just let me be, gussy me up, drop me in a box, and that'll be that.

Did anybody catch the new Southpark last night? Kenny was in a persistant vegitative state, Stan and Kyle were fighting to keep Kenny alive, Cartman was fighting to let him die so he could get the new PSP Kenny left him in his will, and heaven needed Kenny to command God's army against Satan's army but since his soul was trapped in his body he couldn't. Stone and Parker really push the envelope, but their message in the end is always valid.
