They should tell niel young to STFU because you are under contract. We will continue to have your whining music on our platform until the contract expires.

I get the feeling that they're just being nice to him and letting him have his way simply because they know it will have absolutely no effect on them whatsoever. They probably wouldn't cater to his wants so quickly if it would cause them to lose profits. The ONLY person really affected by this is Neil Young.

This will prevent a handful of people from hearing 1 of a few of Neil's songs that they might want to search for after hearing a portion of it in a movie or a commercial. They can easily find those few songs on Youtube or elsewhere. 99.9% of his other fans have already owned his music for over 30 years.

All he actually accomplished was to glaringly show that he is now nothing but a grumpy old man who no longer wishes to live in a 'Free World'.

Yeah, Neil like Spotify is going to pull their biggest show/highest paid star on their platform for your old tunes that probably don't even get a fourth of the listens that Rogan does.

Side note Rogan needs to bring back the hilarious Eddie Bravo - I need some of his crazy conspiracies in my life again.

Yes and no. Neil did say Him or Me. Spotify is giving Neil what he said he wants. Technically, the customer is always right even if things don't go the way the customer thinks they should.

The irony is how Neil was part of the csny freedom tour in 2006 and now he's pulled from Spotify for disdaining their free speech policies. Can't say he didn't get what he asked for.

The amount of people on here saying they want more censorship because famous people say so is mind blowing. The level of ignorance is extremely surprising. The only reason we are having so many problems already is because of censorship.

Something figured out long ago with flat earthers, if you are able to post videos and label people in the videos "experts" without apposing views, you can make most people believe anything. Next thing you know, the news has a bunch of "experts" and all opposing views are banned through multiple websites the majority of the online population use. They are doing that because they know it is the only way to convince people lies are truth. Then a bunch of people on here parrot it and want to censor more of the people who are NOT pushing propaganda because they themselves were gullible enough to believe things that aren't just not true, but are easily proven false. Masks working is the best example of this. You literally have to be the definition of insane to still think they work, something many of us with expertise in this area were saying wouldnt work two years ago.

The people on this thread arguing for it are the actual problem, not the gov, its the people pushing their censorship beliefs on forums like this, telling you to wear a mask at the store, protesting capitalism. My ability to say what I want comes from my tolerance of other people being allowed to say what they want. To try and silence someone else is to argue I should not be allowed to speak my opinion. All speech people in power dont like is hate speech because they hate it.

One is a washed up has been, the other is a still relevant entertainer who has a wide variety of talent which is enjoyedr by many more people than the has been now.

He was also said to be by one of the most biased msm's CNN as leaning towards being a libertarian. He describes himself as supporting all the lefts agenda's as far as same-sex marriage, gay rights, women's rights, recreational drug use, universal health care, and universal basic income, also supports gun rights and the Second Amendment.
He also support freedom of speech and rejects cancel culture.

He is on record as supporting these people in their presidential run, Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, he endorsed Bernie Sanders but says he voted for Jo Jorgensen.

This doesn't sound like a person a has been brunt out old hippy sjw should have a problem with.

No. Keith Richard is the living legend/meme. Neil has zero pop culture cred and little critical acclaim beside other giants in his genre.

It was an easy choice for Spotify, but I maintain that Neil had to have been some kind of issue for them to fully pull the trigger.

Like Bruce Springsteen he might get a pass on being filled with those anti American values by some music lovers, but both are haters of a lot of free speech unless it is their very frickin' own. Remember "Settled Science"? I'll likely not forget that. I _am_ a scientist ... and no one even bothered to poll me for my opinion. But the results were what: 97%? When Science consists of lies, there has to be intent.

You know why we have these problems? There are two reasons. There's no punishment. And punishment is not swift.

I firmly believe that when you catch someone lying with evil intent ... their tongues should be cut ... right there on the spot.

Do you know why people won't touch anything that doesn't belong to them in Saudi Arabia?
