I don't know whether that's a flying saucer.

But, from the Martian point of view, the planet surface already has a dozen or so 'alien' spacecraft on it.

I'm going with my gut on this, since there is less atmosphere to break up asteroids, meteors.. meteorites.

It's only logical that it's a meteorite that did not fully break up on entry. And a phenomenal example of it to.

Now I need to look at our own moon to see some of these examples.

Can someone magnify the image to see they can spot footprints walking away from " the saucer " ?

An avalanche with the important parts cropped out of the picture.
Remember SecureRom 10 and the picture of the "crashed ufo" site in Antarctica , circa 2018 ?

Interesting formation, but we are once more facing the usual problem with photos like this, a third dimension.

To me, it's more likely that we aren't looking at two marks on the ground but at two steps on an inclined surface, and that's why we are seeing the dunes only in that area, as that area is more horizontal than the rest.

I'll look for other images.

Yes, but no.

Dave64 is not happy with this assumption.

He's been putting extra hours into the "Thymine Diner" and wrecked his ship. Try his burgers, they will break your jeans!πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜

I'm thinking a natural formation. There seems to be a smaller one starting just below it.

I think what looks to be gouge trails is cuased by the top soil, sand, dust being blown off and exposeing the rock layer underneath.

For what it's worth, here are some views of the site from DEM/Ortho data available on the link I posted above, made in QGIS:

Doesn't look quite so spaceshippy.
