Suddenly unvaccinated... some vaccinated get a taste of their own medicine now

I left research to go work at hospitals, because locum tenens jobs are paying an insane amount over the course of the pandemic. I'm completely burned out after a little more than a year, and will not work past the 31st of December. Maybe I will eventually go back to research, or maybe I will never work again. I'll see how much I like having a completely empty schedule first.

I can't find any truth about fudging the icu beds that were used. I saw single icu rooms that were made into 3-bed rooms, and there were periods when there was still not enough room for all of the patients needing an icu bed. Lately, icu use has been below capacity at the hospitals I've been working at.

There is always a choice, and you always get a vote.

Sometimes the consequences of that choice are not palatable or people are too comfortable.

How many boosters and how often are the "vaxxed", willing to get until they say No Mas?
At least they can probably negotiate another free donut.

That's great, except vaxxed people are queueing up for their boosters so it's only really going to effect people for a short period of time if they can't get a booster right away.

Saying that this is a "taste of their own medicine" is a little like saying that a gun control advocate is getting theirs because their concealed carry permit is about to expire, when they can just get it renewed by mail.

This is just the beginning.

They're trying to get us used to being herded and treated like farm animals. And amazingly, many are going along with it.

I keep asking myself, "What would happen if all those people that are being forced into taking the vaccine, just said, "No!"?

What would happen if nobody showed up at the vaccination sites? What would happen if everyone did not show up for work, for just one day?

I just don't get it, the cases are up but it is way less lethal, definitely seems to be severe governmental overreach and reaction. Cases have doubled since Germany has started getting vaccinated

I have friends and family that are professionals, and are pretty smart, when it comes to book knowledge, but they are not good at thinking outside the box, and avoid challenging the social norms, even when they have doubt, or are unable to find a logical explanation for those things that generate uncertainty or fear.

I love them dearly and I no longer expect more from them than what they believe, and what they can deal with.

Most of them worked very hard to get where they are, and are very proud of their accomplishments. They fear losing it all. Thinking if they lost it, it was all for naught. I understand.

If I were younger, I may would still value material things over those intangible things that most cannot define. I guess you have to be an old fart to understand that material things are just a couple of years away from the nearest landfill, and the simple things that come with living a life of spiritual fulfillment, freedom, and passing down a future that will leave a legacy of hope, productivity, and growth for the generations to come. It is far more worth living for, and dying for.

I will not comply. And I can only hope that it will be enough of us to at least keep the door open for the future generation to maintain some vestige of their freedoms. Owning things may not bring you happiness, but being owned, will bring nothing but misery,

Sorry you have to be forced to get jabbed, although everyone in the states says it’s still a choice, yeah right. If your Federal , state(most), or military. And You choose not to get jabbed, you loose your paycheck, future retirement, benefits, support for your family, etc for good.

But it’s still our choice.

I get my flu shot every year, and I don't even get a lollipop for my trouble.

Honesty, I've been vaxxed against things that you've probably never even heard of in order to get my visa, it's hardly the drama that you make it out to be.

If the vax was useless wouldn't they simply replace it with a more effective version?

Change a few spots on the QR code print it out and go making ridiculous long waiting lines... It's not my fault your equipment is faulty, fix it or let me in... Works pretty well

Maybe your vax doesn't, but ours does.

We're seeing another wave of delta, but people are coming up almost totally asymptomatic, the number of people getting badly ill is negligible. Here an unvaxxed person is roughly 32 times more likely to die than a vaxxed one.

We're unlocking and doing great.
