Supply under Trump kept up strong with the high demand đ

There's 100's of active oil rigs and gas drilling happening in the US, even more coal mines. Biden stopped leases which means contractors can't build new rigs and drills which construction wouldn't be finished for 2-3 years so how would they affect supply and demand today, as they would not be able to supply actual energy to use not til 2-3 years from now?

The White House on Wednesday made the embarrassing move to call on OPEC and its allies to boost oil production as pump prices climb, underscoring alarm over the U.S. loss of energy independence under President Biden.
Domestic producers said Mr. Biden should have looked to them to bolster the nationâs oil supply.
Instead, Mr. Biden turned to OPEC, a cartel of 13 of the worldâs largest oil producers and a handful of nonmember allies, including Russia.

Trump got us up to $3/gal at one point. But you're arguing the crude oil production worldwide didn't scale down during 2020. All those busy roads worldwide during 2020...busy flights and boats/cruise ships too during 2020. Got to keep production up with the 2020 demand! And barrels weren't sold at a negative margin in 2020 either....

Actually US oil companies export oil to other countries. OPEC cut their production in 2021. Oil is an international commodity and has supply and demand like every other commodity.

The only true thing you have said is that Trump has lost a ton of money. He lost it due to bad business practices and bad bets. He then finds these opportunities to milk his soft-headed fans to try to recoup his loses. If you want to be manipulated by someone, go ahead.

President Donald Trump has signed a law that will impose sanctions on any firm that helps Russia's state-owned gas company, Gazprom, finish a pipeline into the European Union.
The sanctions target firms building Nord Stream 2, an undersea pipeline that will allow Russia to increase gas exports to Germany.
The US considers the project a security risk to Europe.
Both Russia and the EU have strongly condemned the US sanctions.
