That's the idea of investing. Money doesn't vanish, it flows from place to place. Trump probably made some from it, but, so did others. Scrooge McDuck with his vaults full of money is fiction. If you have a 401K you are in the stock market and may have made some from this.

As for observing from outside of the USA Jan 6th was no big deal, it was over in a few hours, most people went home and billions dollars of damage was not done. Better result than most protests and the people effected the most weren't ordinary non-politic people it was the people making the decisions.

The setting up of a self governing autonomous zones with-in the USA would seem to be more of an problem.

There's 100's of active oil rigs and gas drilling happening in the US, even more coal mines. Biden stopped leases which means contractors can't build new rigs and drills which construction wouldn't be finished for 2-3 years so how would they affect supply and demand today, as they would not be able to supply actual energy to use not til 2-3 years from now?
