Trust but verify the story.

It could be a sensationalized red herring 🤫

dfw.cbslocal.com...

Could keep going..

Any proof the "parents" were sincere or were they setting up a "rage" story 😃

Same thoughts here, that's just wrong, from a moral viewpoint.

Since masks don't work as promised, I ask myself about the logic behind the parents wearing masks, when they mostly protect others, not the wearer.

Just think how many times folks here have stated that private business mask mandates are fine.
Rules are rules .

While I think mask is a choice, I do have to agree that in my area of the country that mask are not mandatory, we are having a small sector of the population of young males wearing hoodies and mask all the time and they do not look like up to any good, specially when roaming the neighborhoods, is become now a safety issue for citizens.

Because you can not identified who they are.

This is going to be a problem.

It is stupid but if a restaurant can refuse to sit someone not in a suit or not wearing a button down collared shirt then they have every right to kick out someone wearing something they don’t approve of.

Most restaurants find out the hard way that a paying customer is a paying customer, so let the market decide. Night clubs don’t allow base ball caps, red or blue shirts so while it may be wrong it is ultimately their business and at the end of the day the market forces will determine the outcome

this is just as stupid as not allowing someone without a mask in. The entire pushback on the mask issue was FOR PERSONAL CHOICE. It wasn't supposed to be against or for anything other than freedom.
But in clown world, this is NOP. (normal operating procedure)

It is indicative of newton's third law as I have been preaching for a while now. Keep pushing and get harder pushback. Make stupid rules and watch people be even stupider when the go against those rules.

Tell me, at what point do you folks start to miss the old way, the Trump way. At least back then, you had Trump to hate and things were going well. Now you aren't allowed to speak badly of Joey, and things are falling apart in every direction. But no mean tweets, so there is that.

I'm sick of people running around masked and unidentifiable, it encourages crime, it emboldens bad behavior and other negatives like reduced social interaction.

So when does your war on the internet begin? Because it is all of that and then some.

In all fairness they really don’t have a choice. The customers are not punished for mandate violations but the restaurant owners and it employees. They are assessed fines, can lose the licenses they need to open their doors period. Then employees are once again unemployed so damned if they do and damned if they dont

There was a reason for mask laws, because in the old days people in masks (just like today) typically were up to no good and committing a crime. The masks need to go away for a lot of reasons, and this business has the right to say they don't want unidentifiable customers anymore.

Yeah the masks are messing with my head....every time I meet some one new I have to see them again with and without the mask to even recognize them....

Just a bunch mostly zombified eyes 👀

Moral not lawful.

Having the right to exercise does not mean that it's the right thing to do everytime.

This is what you get when a business is more important than people. Now everyone including the one's who wanted it and the one's who didn't are reaping the rewards.

It's much quicker to list the things you can't refuse service for, then it is to list all you can be refused service for.

No vax no groceries. Get ready for it, because it's coming. Never mind it's basically a essential service.

"Natalie Wester and her husband wore masks inside a Texas restaurant to protect their newborn son who has cystic fibrosis — so the owner kicked them out."

Couple was kicked out of Texas restaurant for wearing masks to protect at-risk son = www.today.com...

Some clarity needs to be placed around this story so people can make their own informed decision.

1. The at risk son was not with them but rather was with a baby sitter so the parents were doing what they thought was right for their child but they were not necessarily protecting him in that exact moment.

2.Based on the readily available articles it doesnt seem the establishment had any signage indicating that masks were not allowed.

"While there aren't any signs stating Blackmer's policy in the restaurant, KTVT reported that the establishment's host asks guests to remove their masks at the door."

My thoughts on this are it's wrong just like it would be to kick out someone for not wearing a mask. If half-measures are going to continued to be taken around this and clear direction not given then leave the choice to individuals. In this case I feel the restaurant is in the wrong in every way.

I thought the point of eliminating mask mandates was to encourage individual liberty? This situation is ironic and seems to suggest a very different motive.
