The only reason there's a law that you have to wear seat belts on most countries is that you'll always have a certain percentage of the population that even in the face of overwhelming evidence that something is the right choice will choose not to do it simply because they misunderstand what freedom actually is.

It's the same with most laws, speed limits and drink driving are other examples.

My lady works in the medical field. Back in the early 2000s the facility she used to work at had a high cash prize contest sponsored by the drug reps, for the highest amount of opioids prescribed. So it wouldn't shock me we are seeing version 2.0 with covid

Or that vax is now less than 50% effective in highly vaxxed countries like Israel.

Where less than 50%, or even close to it, are considered zero effectiveness, and would not be approved as even an experimental vaccine?
