Going to comment before I can finish watching, but Ravi Shankaris another favorite....always a journey in the song.

Some more hometown local sound I grew up on. Pretty steady diet on Lakeside, Faze-O, Zapp Band and these guys is where it all began

That is not even the band that does it, this is the band Ojos De Brujo. I have watched this video about 1000 times, go to the 39 minute mark.

Sitar and surbahar? Im really not sure. I have never played either. I would love to though. Indian classical is just as heavy as death metal.
