Didn't he hit the little boys room before taking the stage? Then he wouldn't need to grip his peepee to keep from peeing his pants. He looks like a toddler does when he's about to have a potty emergency. I didn't get too far into that. I saw enough to decide that college marching band and hip hop are not necessarily the type of fusion I was talking about.

It's all gone visual, with noise and light that's why you need to take drugs to listen to it. It really is a #ing mess. The singers don't matter as most of the time you can't hear them anyway which is a blessing.

Many have....I have gone more instrumental a long time ago. Vocals are great....Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden was one of my faves....unfortunately most music these days is digital.

One of my favorite vocalists is Melody Gardot these days. Favorite instrumental is Twiddle.

Ok Thank God, I’m not the only one!
This stuff sounds like bad noise!

The visuals aren’t great either….

Why anyone would pay to watch this idiot is beyond me.

Couldn't hold a note to save his life.

I think he developed the idea for that video in the Frodis Room on the last episode of the Monkees Show.

I was intrigued by the background guys in pink, but I didn't make it that far.

I am trying to do the melody for it on the Banjo, so I had it handy, as I think he is talented when he can be stuffed. It is almost a poem with a musical accompaniment, I am sure it's got astral traveler written all over it. He must have been smokin when he wrote that one.

And look what happened to a great band. They got what they wanted...... I guess.

"Punk Rock Classic"

I'm a radio joe of the biz called show
I'm a rockin' pop star with a get up and go
Rubbin' elbows with the big wigs at my sold out shows
I've been on every cover, even Rolling Stone

Put us on MTV
All we really need
Begging on our knees
Please, please, please, please, please

Conformin' to the norm straight out of the mold
Compromisin' each and every ounce of soul
I'm a-doin' anything for the records of gold
I only want what I can hold

Put us on MTV
All we really need
Begging on our knees
Please, please, please, please, please

We know that we'll never be better than
Mister slick superstar David Letterman
I promise we're perfect gentlemen
Just put us on the show, you'll regret us then

Put us on MTV
All we really need
Begging on our knees
Please, please, please, please, please

Thank you very much! Be sure to label us
We wouldn't want to cause a ruckus or a fuss
Just put us in a category, if you must
AOR, CHR, Top Forty or Bust

Put us on MTV
All we really need
Begging on our knees
Please, please, please, please, please

Go, Arnito!

What I am is a picture on the TV screen
Don't make waves, don't make a scene
What I say when I play isn't worth a bean
I'm a video joe in an industry

Put us on MTV
All we really need
Begging on our knees
Please, please, please, please, please

Oddly....every morning on my way to school I listened to Jimmy Buffets song, Pencil Thin Mustache. This was from as early as I can remember until I had a car and could drive myself....I can remember as far back, vividly, as 8 years old.

I could recite that song if I had a stroke.

Do you have any particular song that is that kind of a memory in your life?

I mean can you blame me?

It was! Haaa!
Still is, but when Anthony Kiedis turned into Kermit the Frog, it was all downhill from there.

My first real date was a J-Plane concert (at the same venue as the Monkees concert, as a matter of fact). We had to leave early (had to have her home by 10). Walking back the the car we could hear Grace belting out Somebody to Love.

She said "Don't you want somebody to love?" Guess what I said back.

Next day they put on an outdoor free concert. That was cool.

MTV went in cardiac arrest for me in 95 or 96 when the #canned Headbanger's Ball. MTV full out died to me a couple of years later when they stopped putting out new episodes of Beavis and Butthead.

I haven't watched any music TV cable since with the exception of VH1's That Metal Show followed up by a couple hours of metal video goodness.
