Firstly china is not comunist...period...they took power by force aka a dictatorship.

I bet you don't even know what communism is, apart from what you Mcarthyist forbears have told you.

China is no more communist than the UK. They have an authoritarian state, which is becoming capitalist, but they are not communist by a long shot.

Pure communism actually goes against an authoritarian regime, in that it calls for abolition of central government and land ownership etc etc. Communities all work together and with each other to reach a better world.

In 1917, with the fall of the Tzar, true communism was prevalent, but the Bolsheviks quickly crushed the local communes (which were very democratic and involved the whole community) and centralised power.

It could be said that the Bolsheviks where quite facist in their views, trying to create a strong Russia that they could be proud of. However, this is not communism.

May I suggest you read up on it before crying "Oh no, those darn Pinko Commies must be stopped, they are evil!!!", as that is utter arse crap.

I have a 14 year old son who says the same thing. Last week Matthew had a few friends for a sleep-over. I overheard them late at night talking about killing communist Chinese soldiers, blowing away Islamic terrorists and cutting the balls off of OBL and his kind......and I almost got a tear in my eye.

Not from sorrow, but from joy!! There are still American Boys with a pair between their legs, who are not afraid of jacking up our enemies. I than went to sleep and slept well........knowing that as long as theres Americans boys like this, our future is safe.

I encourage my boys to LOVE America. To appreciate the fact that they live in the greatest nation on Gods Earth and that their freedom came at a terrible price.

I took them to VA graveyard on the last Memorial day to lay some flowers on the soldiers graves, because I want them to see the cost of freedom.

America has enemies and those enemies need to be confronted.....should we depend on people like you? If thats the case, I better get out my prayer rug and Koran right now.

They passed a resolution to attack Taiwan.....they have hundreds of missiles aimed at them and Taiwan is a peaceful nation.

Remember what they did to our navy spy plane?? They rammed it, knocked it outta the sky, took the crew hostage and than took it apart. You call that a friendly nation??

I do realize what China has just done. Taiwan is a Chinese Provice. It all stems from the Chinese civil war, perhaps it's you who needs to read up your history.

It is the same thing as if Florida declared independance. I doubt the US would sit idley by (in fact, historically, you do not allow States to succeed, even though your constitution originally allowed for it)

Civil War? 1860-1864 (I think the dates are correct?) Southern States attempted to succeed from the Union, war ensues, and all states lose their consitutional right to succeed (apart from Texas)

But that is my point, the US wouldn't allow any States to suceed, so why should China allow Taiwan?
