Great priorities you have there
OFFS! You presented a case that was criminally prosecuted by state actors as the same kind of law as the one being discussed. It's nothing like this law. YOU FAIL!

You are talking about the born alive bill.
BORN ALIVE!!
A six week fetus isn't born, it is miscarried and there is no amount of medical care that could keep it alive!
No I'm not, I'm talking a heartbeat forming.

I think a woman's body is her own concern, simple as that.
On the contrary, you're looking for examples and I'm giving them to you.

A heart beat, or a heart forming? Never mind it doesn't matter. Why the heart? Why not say conception is enough to prove "a life"? Or why not at implantation? How about brain waves?

Good for you, you two are not most of the world though, or do you think you are?
Do you really believe that you are the same as everybody else?
No, but we did everything responsibly so I have every right to push those same responsibilities on everyone else who does or doesn't want a child. We didn't wait for marriage, but we used protection and knew the consequences of what might happen and what our lives would be like if she ended up pregnant, and aborting the child was never even close to an option.
You are a dad, you get divorced and walk away from your responsibilities, people will nod and figure you are a deadbeat dad, but not give it much thought.
You are a mum who does the same, everyone clutches their pearls and wonders what sort of monster she must be.
Different expectations on mums and dads.

No you dont. You get to dictate your own life, nothing else.
I ride motorcycles, there are plenty of reasons not to, from safety to environmental reasons, indeed, people are always trying to get me to stop riding motorcycles because they are dangerous, dirty and loud, this is the same, you have the freedom not to do something you dont approve of, but the moment you start dictating that others act the way you do, you are in the same boat with Stalin, Hitler and all those others who always "knew what was best"

Abortion is not contraception. If you're too stupid to use protection, suck it up buttercup. I do think there should be exceptions, maybe up to 3 months for rape/incest victims and anytime if the mother's life is at stake, but really 6 weeks is tight but workable in a normal situation. Rape/incest could likely add a mental stigma that produces hiding and procrastination.
If you abort over 5 to 6 months for no other reason than spite or you're lazy, I think those people are murderers.
Cheers - Dave
Everyone is free to believe what they want. But, when abortions are illegal, women who want to abort unwanted pregnancy will return to knitting needles and back alley abortionists. That is just the way it is.

A real Man takes care of the children he puts on this Earth Vasa Croe.
They should know that without any sort of legality.
Unfortunately sometime its not the case hence there reason for child support i imagine.
Still don't change the fact that a Woman's body is her own choice, if she does not want something inside her for 9 month, she should not have to have it there, especially if it got there via rape, incest or possibly both.
Why do you imagine they are so quite about there midnight decrees?
This law may very well be deemed to be unconstitutional.

Exactly this. It doesn't stop there once Mum found a solution to the financial problems: "You work fultime? Self-employed? Why? Doesn't the father pay you enough? Don't you love your child? Why don't you spend every minute with it?"
Because that money won't get me far if I am not allowed to work in the sense of "you are a bad mother then". Doesn't even pay rent without utilities. What about our future, what about when I am old, when I do not work and pay into rent insurance, I won't get any rent. It's not the burden of my child to be responsible for my financial needs when I can't work anymore, someday.
Doesn't my child deserve to see places too? That I never have to tell her "we can't afford these shoes for you"?
All the while the father has his complete freedom and can go sip beers and complain about how I ruined his life? Two precautions failed, I guess it's my fault though. My fault for not killing my unborn daughter even though he had no opinion about it? Neither had the balls to say "I don't want the child" or "I will care for the child?".
The only reason I allow my daughter to see him is because I know that she needs a father-figure in her life, even though I know she will never be able to count on him, as it looks currently.

Its not murder its abortion.
Its its not a baby but a fetes.
As is any unborn or unhatched offspring of a mammal.
And if you are not going after the woman's body and choice, then im sure you will let them do as they please.

Dr. Science Sookie, can you tell me what happens when you don't have a heartbeat?
