Are 'they' pushing this stuff on us, or are they giving us what we want?

It's supply and demand. In almost all cases, companies supply what we demand.
I have a hard time believing the entertainment industry would waste time demanding what we should demand so they can supply it, instead of just supplying what we demand already.

No, it's about morals I thought and what better way to destroy them than through the young and innocent via the school/public indoctrination systems. The question posed in the OP was,

"Is there a conspiracy to make people more accepting of looser morals?"

I am just affirming there seems to be a conspiracy and provided the mechanism.
