Wait ... Wasn't Duck Duck Go ALWAYS run by the left, it was supposed to be the left wing version of Google back in the day when censorship was something that was associated with conservatives and the right.

Beside the OP which i dont really understand, DDG always lacked so much in results, for example: when searching electronic components or informations on them, DDG basically finds nothing while google finds parts + documentations.. it was never a first option

Their bugs area said that as it was not a bug (then it is a feature), one has to contact with duckduckgo directly.

When you do a search, and open the image tab, there will be 10 images, unrelated to your new search query.

Each and all of those images correspond to your unique tracking id search history across several years.
including specifc images corresponding to the top 30,000 of frequent words. ( a guessing probability of 0.00003)

Startpage is a proxy of Google. They route your search through their servers to Google, while stripping out your personal data.

Duckduckgo buys results from Microsoft Bing. I don't know if that video is accurate. Can't find any info on donations to left leaning organizations. All I can find is donations to organizations regarding electronic rights.

Duckduckgo also has a Tor site, if that's your thing
