What's not coherent is thinking economics doesn't play a part into it. How do the 'elite' get that way? Are they enriching themselves off of their own income or the masses? When there are no masses how do the stay elite? If everyone is elite how does it remain in equilibrium?

The premise, and the people that support it, are beyond dopey, they have no grasp of basic economics or arithmetic.

Yup, totally happening which is why China just announced they are allowing families to have three children now after permitting two just recently. That'll really put a dent in the depop reality.

Thing is, maybe China did that because they are planning on wiping them out anyway with one of their engineered viruses.

Global population will, within my lifetime reach 11 billion...that's a crap-ton more than the posited 500 million that's supposedly the goal of these malefactors. 11 billion is a bit more money and power available than 500 million very angry folks.

Well actually no... Let me explain.

1. Population is directly connected to economics status. The poorer you are and the economy you live in the more kids you have. This is due to kids are an assets at that point of being slave labor and so people pump out more free workers. As a society moves into middle class, and higher, kids stop being an asset and become more of a liability, and so people have fewer, or none at all. The old joke was every kid you have is a Ferrari, actually I think it is two now, so people are not going to have 8 kids (huge population growth) and will have 2 or less (zero population growth).

2. Right now there are many countries including America that are at zero growth, or even negative growth like Japan is. For America and EU the only growth is immigrants now.

3. The world is 1 billion Americas, 1 billion EU, 4 billion Asia, 1 billion Africa (7 billion). In 2100 America and EU will still be 1 Billion each as they have peaked out economically mostly, Asia will grow one more billion as there is still some countries on the poor economically side to still have big families, but most of it is peaked too, then we have Africa that will go from 1 billion to 3 billion as it is still in that large growth stage with poor economics in many of its countries. Lastly we will gain an extra 1 billion due to life expectancy increasing about 10 years (11 Billion).

On a final note, world definition of poor and middle class is much different than what we in the richer counties see it as, so don't define them as what maybe you might think is poor in America.

contemplating a completely different world void of
most of humanity? And besides that we're talking about
people who already have endless amounts of money.

The fact that you cannot grasp that if everyone is elite than no one is elite needs to be the first thing you address before we can have a big person convo about this. Eventually, as with all economic systems, certain members will accumulate more wealth than others, there will always be class and thinking that 500,000,000 people, or even 2, won't eventually settle into a have/have not scenario is beyond naïve.
