Well, that is exactly what I would do, if I were in the shoes of that judge.

So, now it will be time to move to an appeals process, which is almost 99% guaranteed to happen.

Result: stalemate for now, IMHO

And: hopefully fewer immediate riots!

It is as much a political outcome as a judiciary one at this point, and, it may be the best one for the short term. Who knows?

The jury was indirectly threatened.

How could that not be a possibility? A large swath of the population here is intoxicated with thug culture and gang based ethics and morals. Intimidation is par for the course.

The same tactics were used during the election as well with little to no repercussions.

This verdict only further emboldens this culture of criminality in that no matter what you do, you are justified and entitled to do it because most were slaves all their lives and we're just freed last week.🙄

🤦🏾‍♂️

I do believe part of the verdict process is confirming the jury has not been coerced or otherwise manipulated.

Nah, that's for the appeals court to decide down the road, after the verdict phase has happened. Believe me, we're going to see this case retried because Maxine Waters gave the defense all they need to get a mistrial here.

What if the jurors deny knowing what Waters said? It's kind of contingent on that.

Crap city? Have you been here? Maybe I can show you the city if you haven't. It's a beautiful city with a rich history.

Maybe you are thinking of Detroit?

Well first the weather...The summers are warm and wet; the winters are freezing, snowy, and windy; and it is partly cloudy year round.

Crime... Rated No. 25 in the top 25 crime cities by the FBI. You might want to avoid North, Midtown and Philips areas after dark...just saying

Housing is kind of expensive and not very impressive for the cost. 71k average salary, cost of living 5% higher than national average.

Biggest employer is Target...lol

Combine state, sales and property taxes eat into your earnings rather deeply.

Outside of all that and its OK I guess....

You can only spend so much time and money trying to prove a man's innocence before it becomes impractical.

Good question, not sure that's possible, though. The jury was not sequestered when it happened, so between that, the Duante Wringht fiasco, and the city mind bogglingly paying Floyd's family $27 million before the case even got started, this jury was undeniably tainted and influenced... which makes the mistrial pretty rudimentary.

His police union charter will have an attorney for him through the process, until he has exhausted all appeals, per the contractually binding contract signed when he was a member of the union. In other words, time and money won't be an issue here as unions have some of the deepest pockets in America.

So many things are a felony nowadays, it's impossible to live life as a normal person and not have committed one. You may not have been caught, and likely it was something you didn't even realize, but you have a 99% chance you committed a felony in your lifetime, according to the laws on the books.

OK what was the felony was he committing at the time that cased the death of Floyd?

Oh, no doubt it get's appealed at the very least. If the jurors truly abided by their conditions, they potentially did not hear the remarks. I would be sceptical to hear that, but I guess that might have to be proven.

Hmm, ya the award.

They were sequestered for Bidens remarks, and not supposed to be viewing news or media for the duration of the trial. It might have to be proven they were aware of Waters dumbassery. If they deny, might be tough to prove.

I think the verdict was all ready decided long before the case was over. Having a city ready to burn the place down for anything less than what they gave him is not a threat? Having a witness get pigs blood dumped on his house, is not a threat to everyone who is not drinking the Kool aid? The city already suggesting guilty with a huge payout before the case could even go to trial. Liberal leadership screaming guilty with the rioters...lol So no they didn't have an actual gun to their heads, but might as been one...

You don't think people would not work to find out each juror and at a minimum DOX them, or worst? Who needs that in your life when you are just trying to get by. Do the verdict of guilty and get on with your life, not to is just not worth it.

BTW the Defense was winning everyday as the prosecution was messing up, but as I said it was already decided...
