My guess is he was being prescribed opioids, the doctor refused to refill and he went off.

Just a guess, though.

This story really needs more details. I got a ding on my phone earlier about this but not much is known.

My question to you is why go straight to opioids?

Because the doctor probably wouldn't be prescribing coc aine or meth...?

He was being seen in an Urgent Care or ER by this Doc. You don't go there for high blood pressure or eczema...

I know a professional athlete and this is a big issue with him and his associates (so I'm told - by him)

But make up your own mind. I know what I know, you know what you know. Whatever.

Easier to go doctor shopping. Most likely CTE as someone else already mentioned.

What is CTE?
2nd line.

Chronic traumatic encephalopathy

Link to CTE

Oh yes, we call it tauopathies. We also know it as TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury).
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...
www.sciencemediacentre.org...
www.sciencedirect.com...

However, there are thousands of patients that have had a TBI or CTE, and don't go around murdering entire families.

No doubt. However, there seems to be some correlation in many of these athlete cases but we know that doesn't mean causation.

Why isn't this case the gun's fault...or racism?
That's where the MSM usually goes first.

I was under the assumption that players couldn't take that.
I hit up a old buddy of mine and he laughed at me for asking something so stupid.

This is a foot in mouth moment.....

A lot of that depression is that you are no longer making big bucks
and just an average person.

Yeah, I was actually going to say financial problems as most former NFL players are broke. However, I didn't want to speculate too much. Not familiar with the player or his earnings. CTE plus Drugs plus Financial Pressure.... makes someone snap.

My foot is far from my mouth.

The army has stricter rules on usage and we used to get notification of when the "random" tests would be conducted...

Like I said, your buddy or my buddy. Makes no real difference. I actually doubt you contacted and got a response from a "buddy" in the short time between my post and your reply.

But I don't really care whose foot is where, but I have my suspicions.

I know what I know and you know what you know. Carry on.

I think he meant his foot, in his mouth, I could be wrong, but that's how I read it.

So, as far as why this may have happened, as others have said, the CTE it seems, would make one less likely to worry about consequences of their actions, which makes sense.
But the prescription drugs, or possibly even an incorrect treatment of an injury,(?) could be the why?

Sad that we may not ever know, if he then took his own life.

Omg can you believe it!
I figured out how to text! It's not hard to hit up a friend then read manuals and crap.

So I've lived in the Charlotte area about 8 years, and just recently moved down to York county SC. This is certainly a shock to see and I do wonder at the motive. Looks like there was a short stand-off before he shot himself according to the York county sheriffs office.

One of the victims was apparently just working in the doctor's front yard.
Doctor, wife and grandkids killed inside the house.

CNN rates this headline, 13% tragedy, and 87% Wakanda forever!

There seems to be a media black-out on this story and I can't imagine why. Some MSN's are not even reporting this horrific murder, while other do report, but leave out the suspect. I find that suspicious in it's self.

Because he’s not white and the victims are not black. I think you know this though.

When will people learn that guns are violent repeat offenders and only by eradicating the gun population can we protect American society from those degenerate weapons.

Chronic traumatic encephalopathy
Degenerative brain disease caused by repeated blows to the head.

Past/present Brain trauma can cause a person to "snap". NFL player Phillip Adams' behavior provides a glimpse into the tremendous danger Americans put ourselves in, this past November.

Definitely reminds me of the Benoit murders/suicide. Which probably means CTE.

Which is probably why there's isn't a lot of coverage. The NFL makes a lot of networks a lot of money. They don't want to be tied to another CTE tragedy. It's probably also due to the fact that he hasn't played since 2015 and when he did play he was on 7 teams in his 6 seasons. In other words, he wasn't exactly a household name.

Of course that clearly hasn't stopped the racists on this site trying to make this a black vs. white issue.

In your title, "reknowed" is actually spelled "renowned".

Too late to change it now. Just an FYI 4u.
