I dont see any of this being from a small town, but I've seen the other end of it. Up until I believe 1989 a town 10 minutes away had ******* dont be around when the sun goes down on the sign that says the cities name coming into it. Printed by the town itself. Some crazy hatred.

I think I would've entitled this post "Racial Hostility Intensifies".

The idea that this is starting to get out of hand should be obvious at this point.

Is there enough shelf space to accommodate /all/ 'minority' owned business categories, for every subset of American minority class?

How does this make one feel, as a [Chinese|Latino|Slavic|Indian|Norwegian] business owner? All minority groups in the US of A; none granted access as protected class of citizen to label their wares for special consumer attention.

Where does the 15% come from, what is the formulaic breakdown of how that number was reached?

My town put in new curbs a few years ago with Obama stimulus money. One of the requirements was to hire a minority owned company to do the work.
Didn't matter that our county had three perfectly capable companies that would have done a fine job with accountability.

They ended up with Garcia from 40 miles away...

I think it will happen at some point, that a minority group will have had enough of this, and start asking where their dedicated shelf space and Yelp! listings are.
