Also, burner phones aren't the answer. Especially if you travel. When you put your phone in airplane mode or turn it completely off while travelling
and turn it back on when you land the odds are incredibly small that you are logging directly on to a major carrier cell tower. By far the majority of
the time you are actually logging in to an alphabet agency mini-tower that in turn connects to a major carrier tower. The end result is that since you
logged in to the mini-tower it has access to your phone - all of it. In addition to being able to download every single bit of information on your
phone the intercepting tower can also install malicious software of its own. The mini-towers are intentionally closer to the airports than the major
carrier towers are so they get priority when you are trying to initiate your service.
You and your phone were pwned and you never even knew it.
