We need to go back to the peaceful protests that took place in Washington DC last June. It really matters who calls in the National Guard from other states. And also very important as to which states refused. The 5 D states that refused the presidential request were, just guess...New York, Cali, Washington, Oregon and Nevada. The states loyal to Trump sent in troops.The federal request can only be done by the President or the Secretary of Defense, the one who can't wait to leave office and admires Russian techniques.
The current deployment appears to be authorized by the Pentagon who have authorized 25,000 National Guard members.
From my interpretation this means that they are under federal control.

I can only describe this amassing of troops as 'out of control'....very unnerving.

However, just a nagging feeling that I have not quite 'fine tuned' yet. Besides the possibility they are in for the 'long haul' at DC, could it also be a secondary 'training exercise' for when they get back to their own state?

I don't know...who bloomin' knows....it's all very surreal and this is only Saturday!!!!

Gov Gruesom Newsom is stepping up to the plate. If Washington DC can have a fence, so can Sacramento. He has ordered and it is now installed a six foot high fence around the capital building. It looks like chainlink so he is a runner up in scary fence building. Also CHP refused an organized Trump rally of over 3000 people using the continent Covid.

Was it always a 1 for 1 count per day? I never took it that way, but maybe it was (I don't have a record). It seemed more discrete steps than sequential days.

But who is actually asking for and getting all this military support?
Team Trump? Which I would expect it to be given he is still POTUS until 20th, regardless of whether he is there or not. I would also suspect the military would stand behind him.
OR
Team Biden? As you say to show strength to the general populace.....if that is the case 50% of the populace will be mightily cheesed off that the military they support and love would be used in this way....and would lead to incredible disappointment, further division and disillusion in their country thus fanning greater flames of patriotism or quashing them?

If this was going to be a normal inauguration day, I wonder how many of the Biden fans would be there to support him? Most of us know that there wouldn't be many, because the election was fixed. They obviously know this and have had to lock down DC and arranged it so Joe has to be sworn in behind closed doors? I don't know, my mind is all over the shop with all this bizarreness.

Jane, great questions. For me, the situation is unclear because I have questioned the attitude of the top generals since Milley displayed such unease at the idea the army might actually have to defend the Constitution against domestic enemies.

Consider what happened last summer -- we had a group of anarchists seize territory of the USA and declare it no longer under U.S. authority. If that wasn't sufficient reason for the general ... what would be?

Hi Rel. I'm not going to pretend complete understanding of your decodes but two things strike me as a mathmatical laymen. First, why limit the overlay to only two drops? Aren't there multiple drops sharing the same bracketed message? Also the purpose of the KD is to find equality but it gives a specific return if equal, 1. There may be a value in a one character offset of the overlay for that reason.

Looking at the declass you will find that the CIA and the media are likely one in the same.

Just a differing thought on what would cause for such armed presence in the capital ? Ofcourse it could also be another domestic or foreign threat. However the fact trump cut the C Ia of from sensitive communications and would not provide them any further military support and the left was silence on this was a whopper for me.

Pompeo's tweets are now at fifteen minutes intervals. The first two today we're still at 30 but the last two are 15.

The only thing that makes any sense to me is Corporation of USA v Constitution of USA....and this is what it is all about.
We would know which if we knew which 'team' has the authority this past week to call all these troops.

Personally, I'm going with the Constitution.

Michigan Gov Whitmer meets Newsom fence action around the capital and raises him one. All roads in Lansing will be closed on Sunday. Also the National Guard will be there. They are anticipating protests and no less The Proud Boys, although apparently they have declined the invite.
I suspect more than just chain link fences will be used. How about a moat?
All of this is surreal. Most people will just not go near all of this and will remain home. Is that the purpose to keep people off of the streets? I feel that something else is going on.
