But regardless of how much government cheese is handed out, wouldn't you agree that giving priority to someone based on their melanin content or inability to piss while standing is counter to what we as a nation are supposed to be?
Of course I agree just like I think if the cheese is being handed out disproportionality to one group or another it shouldn't.
which is the point of this thread. Your initial post doesn't reflect that opinion at all, in fact, it's the polar opposite.

Yeah, and now read the actual text. It clearly says the priority is getting the groups mentioned EQUAL access to the resources they need.
That means the same as other groups of people, not instead of.
Your eagerness to distort a very clear sentence says an awful lot about you.

Some people see equality as a threat. They have been groomed to believe that another group's gain means they suffer a loss.
It works best with people who haven't done too well in life but are too full of entitlement to question themselves. Instead, it's easier to be led to blame people less advantaged than they are.

Very true.
It's seen often, people being given assistance to get what others take for granted are seen by some as them getting something extra.

Equality is having equal access for all, not "more equal" access to some.
If there is a set of criteria for a thing, the all meet that criteria for access. You don't then say, well, we'll add skin color to the list.
It used to be that way, and we determined that was wrong. If it was wrong to once, then it's still wrong to do today, even when the skin colors involved are ones you think are the ones of victims.

In short, if your business is failing or struggling, don't be white, don't be male, if you want aid. The government may have destroyed you, but it's only going to fix that if you're the *right* category because, you know, justice or something.
That isn’t what it means and you know it.
