Pence has the power to make this a VERY long day...
..and nothing else so it's all grandstanding.
You might be right......BUT you could also be wrong, apparently devastating new information is being prepared to be put up at that meeting; and that could change everything. The point is Pence has the power to allow the new information to be presented.
I hope you are right. I hope it gets covered, although I seriously doubt that CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, NYTimes etc will cover it, more like cover it up.
I hope Pence allows the testimony. There is nothing wrong with allowing them to present testimony.
The American people deserve the full facts, even if it means "Uncle Joe" gets elected and then "Sleep her way to the Top" ends up President after a few months, as the Democrats have planned all along to get their dream President of a "black" woman President.
2021 coming in like a Lion!

I thought he left Florida because Floridians threw him out...mostly because they don't want him there.
Besides the ludicrously funny idea that the current POTUS could be "thrown out" from Florida, who was it that won the vote in Florida again??

My point is Biden had all the power, to gavel people down or allow it.
Pence will be in the same spot, the VP controls what is allowed to be said or not, they will turn off their mikes if he gavels you down, but if he allows it they can speak. Pence has the power to make this a VERY long day, and other GOP members might just jump on the bandwagon, when they see 1 million people in Washington that day. Pence knows it's going to be a very long day he cancelled his trip to Israel.
Of note many DNC people did object to Trump but Biden repeatedly gaveled them down, and their mikes were turned off.
Every objection made could be greeted from Pence with "I will allow it" that is his power that day.
Mike Pence has asked a federal judge to throw out a lawsuit brought against him by Republican lawmakers who want the US vice-president to overturn the results of the November 3 election, in a blow to Donald Trump and his allies who continue to falsely insist that the poll was rigged.

So unless there is a signed request from a Congressperson or Senator from each state the objection will be denied.
Even if there is a signed request it won't change anything. The results will stand since the Democrats control the House.
Mike Pence has asked a federal judge to toss out Trump's case to overturn the 2020 election results
Amendment XII
The electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;--The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;--the person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President. The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.

Always ask the Constitution.
And Pelosi can’t do jack about it, otherwise January 7 becomes the New Independence Day, which is better than Feeding the Tree of Liberty Day...although I like that one better as it is a constant reminder to Un-American dirtbags festering the shores that survived the purge.
