After having an interest in this UFO stuff for longer than I care to admit, I get the impression that nobody knows what it's about. A lot of folks say they do, but when it comes time for them to put up or shut up... nothing. I can imagine the Air Force or Navy managing to snag a real flying saucer, haul it out to the real place they have a facility to study it (not Area 51, possibly someplace buried in Australia or Alaska), and then have it just evaporate like a soap bubble into nothingness. And they're like, "what?"

We’re left with only speculation in the absence of actual knowledge so I’d say it’s easy to speculate and let thoughts go wild.

I’m of the mind this is way simpler than most people are giving it credit for.

They showed up. Governments got involved - namely the most powerful one.

It was decided humans aren’t ready to digest the existence of ET at scale, nor are they responsible enough to handle some of what comes along with that knowledge at scale.

So some humans end up representing earth humans on some council, we make some agreements, get our eyes opened to the fact the Galaxy isn’t entirely a friendly place and realize it’s for the best we keep this knowledge way way closeted for a while.

We also figured out that if you disclose the “nice” aliens, you’ll end up having to talk about the “not nice” aliens - and that’s when people freak out and decide “all aliens bad” - because right now people are triggered by xmas lights on houses in middle class neighborhoods FFS. Aliens? Bad aliens? No way... can’t do it.

So, we take incremental steps with Space Force, SpaceX, etc. and slowly get the public acclimated to space. We’ll make contact “out there” and then do some kind of orderly “introduction” when either a) humans are ready or b) some S is about to HTF and we can’t not tell people.

I can’t say that’s exactly how it goes, but when I put a pretty simple/non-hyperbolic explanation out there like that and line it up with the quotes from the OP - it all sounds reasonable to me that this guy isn’t full of it.

Also.. to the whole “pics or it didn’t happen” crowd...

Cloaking and camouflage.

There are posts regarding active camo on this very board going back 15+ years - and that’s earthly stuff we’re aware of - and if we were reading about it then the “cutting edge” was much further out than that... that’s not “alien” stuff. That’s the good old MIC.

Camo/stealth/general undetectability is of massive importance to earthly forces. Particularly given Hires satellites as cameras basically everywhere. We’ve gotten good at hiding things... imagine a species even 400 years more advanced?

We don’t see them because they don’t want us to. Just like we don’t see a lot of things .gov doesn’t want us to.

That’s not a real fancy/sexy explanation but I believe that it has a reasonably strong probability of being accurate.

A lot of people have given you proof - many just say it’s not proof enough.

Also, the real reason may not to be to protect us from them, but them from us.

Think of it this way... hypothetically, the story in the OP is right. Yay! But after we join The Federation, it becomes clear that the Galaxy is a lot more hostile place then many think. So we NEED the “good aliens” and we didn’t even know it.

“Good Aliens” end up being helpful but also realize that earth humans are warring, parasitic, self-absorbed, intensely defensive, dogmatic, not all that open minded on average and don’t cooperate well. They also rape their planet, pollute their atmosphere and kill off most life that’s “in their way”.

Now, being a far more advanced species that moved beyond all of those problems, they know it’s a bad idea to get the earth humans riled up because just like we now know about the aliens, they know about earth humans. Some tech has been exchanged. We’re “up there” too now.

So us/them reach a deal to help move humanity in a more unified direction and at the same time work with a select group of humans to help us prepare for what we’ll find “out there” and also work with us to help us remain protected.

This stops us from freaking out on each other or starting to shoot things at them that probably would ultimately hurt us (nukes, for instance).

So, we all get to wait.

Ironically, we think if being “advanced” as being “beyond earthly problems”. Most of what I outlined above is entirely a function of humans as a species and choices they make - all of which could be overcome very easily if we wanted to.

Perhaps the notion of a “NWO” isn’t nefarious - it’s to create a more unified world that we must have before we get a seat at the table with other advanced species. Can’t try to make new friends until you can get along with the ones you have.

Is suspect, given their reputation for "probing" that these extraterrestrial biological entities (EBE's) are effectively engaged in "sex tourism". Much in the same way that some humans have been known to visit 3rd world countries to engage in sexual activities that are frowned-upon in their own county.

This is spot on. I have been following the UFO debate for 20+ years. When they had the DC Press Club event a decade or so back, I thought we were getting close. Then we have had a series of very old people make these comments. Maybe they are telling the truth because they are old and TPTB don't care because they figure no one will believe them. But, Trump is too stupid to keep his mouth shut. Then again, he did create space force...

What worries me is that if aliens have had contact with the human race and have cooperated with us behind the scenes, then they've been dealing with the absolute worst examples of humankind we have produced. That doesn't speak very highly of them or their intentions.

Well. Now he has to do some interviews. He can't just drop this on everyone's lap and walk away.
If this is true, then I'm sure he will get death threats or worse for his family. But if he shows some proof, does some in depth interviews, then that can all just melt away, coz his star stature would be too high to touch.

Of course, there is the possibility that he has gone insane, or has been all his life and just got through somehow doing well. I highly doubt that. Is this introspection on his part, or does he know something? That is the million dollar question, and would add/delete his credibility.

For me, Aliens are Angels. They are nothing like us, probably more akin to ants or bees. They don't follow our logic reason or have our rules to play by. We would not gel or empathize with them, because they probably have zero empathy for us.

This is a Prison World. They are stuck here with us, and have been. We own the table. They can only manipulate it. Until the end of days where they will be given authority to have a little more play.

Remove the genetic roadblock installed to dead-end our Telepathy to make us become mallable or putty.....you can lie to us then.

Maybe - I don’t know if I’m right or someone else is using the IDH.

What I do know is the more I’ve tried to remove the fanciful aspect of this subject and moved towards a pretty simple, realistic and logical point of view that takes into consideration the undesirable aspects of humanity, the whole subject becomes far more possible in my mind.

A "galactic federation."?? ok why not simply Star Fleet or the United Federation of Planets, this sounds like too much science fiction, I could be wrong off course, because a lot of stuff is being put out there, and why not show some evidence, I know he is or used to be an important guy, but appeal to authority can only take you so far, especially on something as dramatic as this.

And will humanity freakout?? I think not, a few folks might be upset, but I don't think it will push us over the edge.
