I saw a documentary about the natural resources of the US and what they're worth on Nat. Geo. years ago. It was narrated by Donald Trump.

If I dug it out and linked, does this mean you would deny that the US has those natural resources because Trump narrated it?

The episode shows historical footage which provides the indisputable proof of the terrible subjugation and oppression of Communism and how it ended up there from Socialism.

My own personal experience was very different, my home country did socialism without the brutality or the suppression. In fact we had more rights and freedom on average than America did at the time because we didn't have segregation or Jim crow laws. Today people want more socialism, not less. They like it. We're a full democracy, and a free market that has higher food standards and consumer protection laws that the US, while is still dynamic and largely unburden by regulations.

TLDR socialism can be done well, and when it is people like it.

The definition of socialism is simply community ownership. Saying you have "indisputable proof" that it doesn't work and using people like Joseph Stalin to prove your point is as stupid as counter arguing that capitalism doesn't work because of say, George Bush.

Community ownership is a fiction.

The reality is that there will always be some group in power determining how a thing is or will be used. And that's the problem. It won't be you or me; we can't "own" it. It will be the bureaucrat class. They'll decide when it will be used, how it will be used, how much will be made and who will use it.

And they'll do it using their numbers.

And if reality doesn't align? Oh well ...

That was and is the downfall of socialist republics everywhere among other problems. A command economy cannot adequately address the needs and wants of its own people.

The bricks fall slowly in some places but they do fall.

When a system collapse, the reason is always because of sectors of the economy not under the control of the government. We saw this happen in Venezuela, btw. So the government goes in and seizes, or nationalizes, those sectors promising that more control will fix the problem. Less and less of the economy lies under the control of the private sector over time and more under control of the government propping up the system.

Eventually, collapse happens.

ketsuko I lived in the US all my life this government does a Piss poor job of knowing the needs of people who live here .

The infrastructure is a mess our schools are at the bottom of the worlds list our health acre system is beyond a mess we owe every one on the planet .

That's false.

Those aren't socialist countries, they may include elements therein, but they operate soley off Capitalism, hence, Multi Party Capitalism States.

There is NO pure form of any government calling eth US captialsim is NOT TRUE as business get bailed out .

That makes no sense. I guess I underestimate the allure of "free crap". It sucks but I'm not seeing the money come directly out of my pocket. Either that or you really, really cannot stand it when the Joneses over there have more than you, and you think socialism will take them down some pegs. So who cares if we all get the shaft?
