It's accurate. Even if there is an "intermediary" it's relevant that the intermediary is supervising special ops.

The ASD (SO/LIC) has as his principal duty overall supervision (to include oversight of policy and resources) of special operations and low-intensity conflict activities.

When someone or something reports directly to you that means it reports directly to you without an intermediary. I don't have my direct reports report to someone else beneath me because then they wouldn't be my direct reports, now would they?

Argentina and Brazil are allies and yes there have been several firefights within those countries during different operations...(along with others)....again.....you seem to be speaking with authority about some things you clearly dont know as much about as you think you do.....
