No matter what ouija boards don't work for me and I can't figure out why

They'll work for others but not me. If anyone here can tell me anything that might work please leave a message.

Mod edit: Busted! by the 'caps police,' that is!
No all-caps titles, please

Maybe "something" is preventing it from working to protect you.

Why open up a portal to who knows where and summon something who might decide to stick around and haunt you?

I've heard horror stories about ouija boards

They're no good to have in your house.

Ouija boards are evil. All evil must first have the permission of God before it is allowed to apply power. You must have a hedge of protection around you.

Probably the reason you can't get a oiuja board to work is that they operate by unconscious motions of the hands to spell out whatever the operator wants them to spell out.

Here's how you can prove that to yourself:

Next time you're playing with one of your ouija friends, ask him or her a bunch of questions and remember what the board "says"

Then, without telling the person this beforehand, say tht you want to try an expoeriment and blindfold the person, and ask similar questions and see what the ouija board says,

Hint: it'll be gibberish, because the person will not be able to see where the pointer stops and thus will not be able to control -- even unconsciously -- the start and stop times.

If course, if you or your friend really want the ouija board to be "true", then don't do the experiment because it'll ruin all your fun.

I think this is what they mean when they say "the truth hurts".

The truth hurts more when you inadvertantly allow evil forces to enter your life by "playing" with Ouija Boards. It's not the board that has the power, it is the persons acceptance. The "game" is a process that leads the "players" to acceptance, openness, and giving permission for evil to move in.

Speaking from a personal experience i would say STAY AWAY

Not to be messed with regardless of whether they are evil or subconsious

Still mess around with you.

Well it's true that a lot of the time it's really just the person's imagination; altered conciusness but of course there are some cases where they really do work.

Does anyone here know if homemade ouijas work?

Ouija boards are just a silly board game. To get it to work you just gotta push the plastic thingy around and have it spell something.

To contact your dead uncle Ed, just ask if he's there with you, and then push the plastic thing to the word "yes" and go from there.

Ask him whatever you want, then just make up an answer. I gotta say though, it's more fun with at least 2 people. That way you can take turns pushing the thing around.

I know what your problem is:

You don't have a moronic friend who thinks its funny to move the board.

Well said, Off The Street!

I think similar tests might well be applied to anything
relating to the "paranormal".

Not really...try automatic writing sometime....

I can't get a Ouija board to work

Check the batteries?
Kidding....

Sometimes (often in fact) it could be as Off the Street says, but I find that using it alone is more insightful. Of course, that has it's own risks...but one can be cautious....

Hmmm since the board is for telepathic messages one would think before using one the operator should call a telepathic. 555 555 U812.

Sorry I could not resist

Sure they work well,
For other things thats is. I used to use my sisters Ouija Board to build model cars on. Works great when you need to cut parts off of the plastic trees. And there good for painting on aslo.

Peace

The Ouijiboard works. You just don't know how to use it. It takes a while. This is how you do it. Buy white candles, get a group of people that holds each other hands. Only one person touches the plachelette. Use the garment of the deceased person.

Asia Minor says:

"The Ouijiboard works."

Ouija, from the French and German words for "yes".

"You just don't know how to use it. It takes a while."

So does my oven. I set the temperature and it usually takes six minutes to warm up.

"Buy white candles...,"

Do you get so sing "Happy Birthday"?

"...get a group of people that holds each other hands."

We could sing "Kumbayah" after we sing "Happy birthday", too.

"Use the garment of the deceased person."

Do you have the planchette guy dress in the garments or what?

C'mon, Asia, it's just a board game. If you want "spiritual insights" you could just as easily pick Screabble tiles out and see what they spell, too!

If you're brave enough to actually do some research that might contradict wishful thinking, do like I suggest and blindfold the planchette holder and see what results you get there.

For some reason, the "spirits" don't "communicate" very well with someone who's blindfolded LOL!!

Ouija boards are a tangible divination tool. The board itself is not evil merely the person using the tool. If their intentions are ill then the ouija board will channel that energy. If you can't get a board to work- then you may want to look into better ways of meditation and clearing your mind as well as focusing and projecting your energy. Only then is this tool gonna be helpful.
