But does what he says matter?

Does it carry any kind of legal authority?

Can he throw out an election or switch votes?

Is he showing any proof of his clam?

For me, after witnessing the 2000 fiasco with all its hanging chads and the stupidity that ensued, nothing would surprise me.

I think at this point, we are going to have some real hard years ahead of us either way. Although announcing Trump as the winner will likely see our cities burned (although i don't think the cities in Texas will, as our state handles it differently).

"May you live in interesting times" is supposed to be an insult. It looks like we are going to see why.

Oh, yeah. The Diebold machines.

An Australian company had a machine that gave back a paper ballot/receipt and was about half the price. For some reason it was rejected. There’s lots going on with Diebold.

I agree — if this gets reversed — Holy Hell will be upon all of us.

It would be unwise.

Newsmax is the only article that has that posted and it's from 6 days ago.

That's the new favorite source of much of this site now.
Newsmax, OAN, TheGatewayPundit... They're the only ones trusted now, everything else is socialist and their sole purpose is to bring down Trump (even though he brought them into a new gilded age of ratings).

More than what I said above, the message is one many want to hear.... And that's what really matters.

now I know you are smarter than that.

Where might you hear about anything "pro Trump"? CNN? MSNBC? Sure a good portion of it will be sensationalized garbage, but some of it won't. And that "some of it" won't see the light of day without outlets like those.

Or should we be trusting the MSM that has proven to be a tiny bit less than balanced?

Trump is mainstream at this point, so any outlet who blatantly set out to put things positively all the time for him are either truthfully bankrupt or exploiting a monetizing opportunity. The fact that Trump is mainstream means those outlets are mainstream, just of a different flavor. If you don't think Trump is mainstream, then why are many confident he won the election?

My point isn't that OAN or Newsmax are worse than any of the others, it's that they're the same, and maybe just more blatant about it.

I don't watch cable personally, I have also found I'm not a fan of talking heads for the most part. I still haven't found any journalists that seem completely without bias, and that's OK because we're all human and I suppose it would be impossible to hide. Though I think Glen Greenwald, Matt Taibbi and some other more obscure voices are a good place to go to hear people hash out different sides, and who's sole purpose appears to be finding the truth as oppose to only presenting truths that are in line with their interests.

Isn't newsmax run by dems?

I thought the owners donated to dems?

Trey Trainor is a Trump appointee , make of that what you will.

James E. "Trey" Trainor III was nominated by President Donald J. Trump and confirmed by the United States Senate on May 19, 2020. He was appointed to a term ending April 30, 2023.
www.fec.gov...

Most leadership positions in the federal government are Trump's. Did you expect him to keep most of Obama's around? Do you think Biden is planning to keep many Trump appointees on staff?

Well actually they normaly do they are put in positions for terms. Usually 4 years there is an actual contract involved even. Dismissing them early you still pay their salary.

I agree the election was either legitimate or should be delegitimized, however, the FEC is merely the body that tracks donation disclosures for federal offices. It doesn't have any role beyond that. It is statutorily required to have three Republican members and three Democratic members.

Not really, the decentralized layout of the USA keeps the Federal government from intruding on State matters unless expressly stated/allowed in the Constitution.

However.

The State legislators are the political bodies who certify election results. If the FEC says there are questions and anomalies in the overall election, this gives them extra power to audit their own results and, if necessary, not certify the votes of their individual States.

So no, Trump didn't keep any Obama leadership around that he didn't want.

Trusting any news source these days MSM, or left or right is hazardous. Listening to ABC/New York put the kibosh on Jeffrey Epstein so many years ago from strictly outside pressure, killed MSM legitimacy. Let's remember when Drudge Report was dragged through the mud as not being legit, and yet history proved it was correct after all.

> Can he throw out an election or switch votes?

The FEC can only act as a body, an individual member - even the chair - has no authority.

Even then, it only has authority over campaign donations to federal office, not elections (despite its name).

> Is he showing any proof of his clam?

Proof does not precede an investigation, no matter what the media says. Investigations are used to compile proof. There can be no proof until there is an investigation.

agreed. And the remainder of the MAIN STREAM MEDIA is doing and has been doing the EXACT OPPOSITE.

so as you state, there is no outlet for truthful news. I listen to what is said, and try to find facts to prove or disprove it.
But if you discount news because you don't like the source, you miss out on a lot of things you might need to hear.

I don't think there are any major outlets un-ironically having an ethos to find the truth, no matter what the truth is.

I still consume, but rarely from major outlets and never from cable entertainment.

More specifically to the subject at hand... Trump was pretty clear he would contest the election if it didn't go well for him. That right reality made me extra vigilant and skeptical of claims. And just because he and others claim it, outlets shouldn't take it too seriously until there is substantial evidence. You'd think they'd have learned their lesson with Russia 😉

For what it's worth, I still hold that against them very much.

None of the votes affected by the ruling had yet been included in the state’s official tally — which as of Thursday had Joe Biden at a 54,000-vote advantage over Trump.

My friends of ATS. I don't know what is going on but it seems almost every one is so gullible and has not sense of humor.

I see jokes made and people get all pissed off over idiotic things.

Also over the past few days you guys are falling for every single article that goes your way. I am on your side but it's getting a little ridiculous.

Newsmax is the only article that has that posted and it's from 6 days ago.

I would agree with you if it was just an article, but it's a video of the FEC Commissioner verbally admitting it so the source has nothing to do with it. I can assure you there's a reason other channels and news agencies aren't showing this. And yes, I noticed it was 6 days ago so I was wondering how many others caught it, but carewemust said Trainor was briefed last night and he's always on top of news before the rest of us.
