It is funny, one watches him and thinks "gee, I could do that..." knowing full well there is no way. It has been eons since a leader was human and shared with humanity and it shows. Which makes his run all the more remarkable to me.

So last night I was over at my neighbors house, his grandkids are stuck here for a few weeks before they go back to Israel. These kids are either clueless, or just being obtuse. One of them said that the American elections doesn't mean squat to the rest of the world. My neighbor stared at her and said: (and I'm paraphrasing here)

"In a stormy night even a poor sailor only needs one lighthouse working to avoid the dangers."

I don't know if that's a Jewish saying or not, but wow it was pretty powerful as a descriptor as to the importance of this election cycle.
