When Obama received the nobel prize...for doing nothing...I realized that corruption had reached this institution too. It is as if it will become a new standard to reward this ..meaningless... prize to each new POTUS.

Such a shame that people must now start to question the recipians of this reward..

The only ones questioning it are the Trump-haters. What he and his staff did to broker this peace agreement cannot be seen as bad or negative by anyone. Being sustainable is up to the parties involved. Saying "well, Obama got it and he didn't do anything for it" takes nothing away from Trump's nomination, it is recognition for something he did that was good for peaceful foreign relations. That's it and that's good enough.

Obama got it because everyone expected this sort of thing from him. But do you know why they did? It was because he was a black man who got elected in America. Yep. I yearn for a day when no one looks at the color of someone's skin, but at their actions and accomplishments. Not their nationality or culture but how they behave as a human being. Unfortunately I think we're way beyond that with global politics being what they are, and especially as divided as people are around the world.

Now that's not a knock on Obama..
He didn't give himself the prize but let's be honest here, he hadn't done a thing to earn it.

Now trumps middle east dealings do earn him a nomination I suppose but I'm not sure it's worthy of a win just yet. Time will tell.

At the same time his push for a border wall will be enough to keep him from the prize because it's all about feelings.

I'm just enjoying the Dems spinning this against Trump then heads explode when their 'logic' gets turned against Obama.

That was my first reaction reading this headline. With what Obama done with the war machine is sad. He did get that medal at the start of his rein before he started blowing things up, it was more because of the end of racial discrimination in high office from what I understand about it.

So Obama got the award simply because he was black? Sounds about right.

Increasing drone strikes, indefinite stay in iraq and Afghanistan, and giving saudia millions of weapons definitely qualifies as earned it...

Obama also brokered the iran deal that trump got out of... but that doesn't mean he deserves the nobel peace prize.
