meanwhile, in the real world, i was reading reports from friends over there earlier today and they've got a blossoming co-op, a small library, a well stocked medical station, and they've even got a hot dog stand and are screening films each night. but who cares about facts when we can close our eyes, stick our fingers in our ears, and shout RETARD RETARD at anyone trying to do anything that isn't the exact middle class white america that is the only thing our stunted hearts are capable of settling for?

Oh, stop your little temper tantrum and fess up. How would you fair in a world with out electronics and had to sustain yourself off of the land? This ain't middle class white American's , but dirty hands , dig in the the dirt real people who can survive. We laugh at you trying, just like our parents did. Guess what, it made us tougher and independant.

I really wish you luck, maybe go find a place in the wild to fend for yourself for a few months. It teaches you humility and respect of our elders that built this country from the bare land. Your argument is invalid until you do so.

They're being mocked because they're playing a deadly serious game and it's painfully obvious that none of them even thought it through what they're actually doing.

That garden won't sustain one of them, let alone all the people in their zone, not even if all those plants do grow and are fruitful.

For a group declaring themselves autonomous, they can be anything but from where they are. They are completely at the mercy of the entity they claim to be independent of. All of their water and power derives from the US and could be removed from them as soon as someone decides to flip the switch.

Mocking the garden because you can't just throw a couple of bags of potting soil on top of untilled land, throw bedding plants STILL IN THE CONTAINERS on top of it and expect it to grow but you have cell phones with all the information you need to do it properly RIGHT AT YOUR FINGERTIPS and yet are too busy trying to take over property that DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU and that you have NO RIGHT TO to figure it out!

I have thought about it. Way more than they apparently have.

If they want to set up their own commune society, they should be out in the country where they can run a sustainable community. Where they have room to grow the types of crops and run the stock they need to create their own food and clothing.

Further, I'm all for them doing it, but I am very much against them doing it with the property and over the rights of the other people who live and work on those city blocks. Did anyone hold any kind of vote and ask any of them? If they say no, will there be any kind of compensation for them?

We already know what they are trying to achieve. Because society and civilization made those achievements long, long ago.

Beyond that, there are actual ways to do what they are doing without the whole theft and subjugation thing. Because I thought that "colonization" was bad..

They are essentially reinventing the wheel. Dont expect accolades for it, particularly not from those of us whose lifes work has been dedicated to truly trying to innovate and invent without a premise of violence and force.

I had an 8th grade project where we, as a group, had to try to construct a functioning society and we spent several days brainstorming and taking notes. We had to consider all kinds of things about it.

*That* project had more thoughtfulness and detail to it and a better chance of working than what these kids have put together so far, but they do have a hot dog stand and coffee bar.

The politicians are probably the real threat here, along with the corporate-political agenda as a whole.

They just probably didnt quite get the "soldiers" they were hoping for..

A lot of these peoples actions in the media, politics and corporations, all throughout this year so far, merits some serious investigations immediately. From nursing home shenanigans to selective application of the law to outright lies and deception.. It was all to the detriment of the US, even the world, and down to each of us as individuals.
