He didn't gas anybody. Protesters were asked to move, they didn't move. They were driven back by non-lethal means. Would you have found bullets to be more effective than non-lethal weapons? What I took from it was that Trump has been accepting the support of Christians though-out his campaign and his presidency.
As well, he has been accepting the support of strong American conservatives. As is evidenced by his hugging the flag numerous times, and didn't he kiss it at least once, it is clear to some of us that he is trading on that patriotic sysmbol pretending to be a good patriot. Some of us can see how bogus this is.

Likewise, he has now had peaceful protesters and clergy gassed to clear out for a photo shoot so that he can pose in front of a well known church. He has held a bible in his hands in an attempt to continue his pretense that he too is a god fearing man and president.

For all the insight that so many conservatives demonstrate, it is a wonder that so many cannot see right through his chicanery.

His article states that Trump began his walk to the church at 7:01. Are you claiming that the National Guard were able to push all the protesters back to K Street in the span of a minute?

I can't even understand what kind of message Trump was trying to send holding up a Bible in front of a shuttered church, not saying a word, after having peaceful protesters gassed and fired on half an hour before the curfew.

Was he saying his authority comes from the Bible?
Was he trying to liberate the Bible?
Was his message that he's co-opted the Church and their sacred text?
That he is God's chosen one?

Why didn't he have any church leaders with him?
Why didn't he read from the Bible?
Why didn't he pray?

Why didn't he wait for the curfew?
