CNN is not very good at reporting REAL news that matters to more than a handful of people. That ability died with Desert Storm reporter Bernard Shaw.

They were told to move and apparently did not listen to the police. They were released an hour and a half later once they were verified as working for the press. Just because someone says they are working for a news network and may even have credentials, does not mean the credentials are real. There are a lot of people doing independent reporting who then sell their footage to the media, but they are not direct employees of the media, in fact some of them are not even actual media reporters.

You cannot believe anyone these days, they had a guy claiming he was a reporter here at a standoff between the police and a guy that had lost it and had a gun. That reporter was broadcasting live on his blog....his pictures he was posting online showed the position of every cop there in three locations who were watching the situation. Do you know how bad that kind of action is if the guy was watching the live feed on his phone? The cops told him he had to leave and he resisted and they told him either leave or spend time in jail for something. He does not do that anymore, he was warned by the Sheriff department and state police that if something happened, he could be charged with a major crime. He now just monitors the radios and posts stuff because he could wind up in jail if he contributes to an ongoing crime. The local news agencies have now got more regulations on them because the police could not just target one individual, they cannot report the news till the police release the names and addresses. The news agencies were not a problem but one guy made it tougher on the local stations to do their job..

So the CNN equpment, logo and so-forth wasn't at least a tip-off to the cops?

Sure. Whatever.
