So property is more valuable than lives?

And people wonder why our society is so f***ed up.

Trump has done nothing but fuel the race fire since he's been in office. Look at what we have now, economy in shambles, disorganization and dysfunction in handling the COVID crisis, almost anarchy in the streets, the left against the right, fingers pointing and shaking and lack of control, lack of solutions and country in disarray.

I know my Halloween tradition is to cruise around and hunt down any teenager carrying toilet paper or a carton of eggs.

When the public executions start the looting begins.

I mean if they don't wish riots to start Police should not murder people on the floor in broad daylight.

The fact of the matter is that copper deserves to be turned over to the crowd.

After all it's nice to be nice.

Rubber bullets please. Or "shoot" the looters with tear gas.

I would love to think that he meant "when the looting starts, the shooting (BY the mob) starts (and we need to prevent that by sending in peace-keeping forces.)

But I can't get that meaning out of the sentence no matter how hard I try. Not a Trump-hater, but dude could use a Tweet-editor/advisor to run his first drafts thru!

One time this guy tried to take my yard gnome, so I shot him in the face.

The hard part is to not hit the gnome while he's carrying it.

You know I would normally say that defending a persons lively hood is more important than the life of the criminal.

But at this point sure the property is more valuable than these lives.

Kind of hard to throw and egg when your throwing arm is blown the hell off with a .50cal projectile.

When the chuckin' is on, you make their arm gone.

Since when is looting a death penalty offence? Or arson for that matter?

you're doing great.

yes there are better excuses for Trump's words, but look at the posts you need to convince... I think your explanation of what he said is as good as any.

if shlit hits the fan, then it was a metaphor, if not Trump was just taking a stand by asking rioters to be killed (or shot...with tear gas).

if I know Trump's testicular fortitude, he and his staff have a few explanations lined up already.

I don’t know what to make of this one . The MSM It’s going to be hyper ventilating while clutching their pearls.m
I can see they headlines. Trump ok’s African American huntimg. It’s open season

I can’t help but hope I’m missing something here . Although I agree with that for the most part. The press is going to eat him alive .

Michigan is a castle doctor in the state. But so far I don’t see any clause for protecting property .

I hope he’s got a plan

He's getting his tweets in while he still can.

Thankfully, come the end of November, we won't have to suffer this anymore.

You condone the president advocating killing US citizens?!

Or did I misinterpret?

As usual some a$$hat asks the wrong question to the wrong people.

How about asking the rioters and looters "Is doing this worth getting shot over"?

Notice I said "rioters and looters" not protesters.

While we are at it, let me ask a few questions.

Why does it always take three or four days for the riots and looting to start?

Do you think it might be that it takes that much time for certain people to get there and plan it out?

Target stores usually have a pharmacy with narcotics, Viagra, glucose meters and strips. They also sell diapers, baby formula and laundry detergent. I'm not even going to mention the electronics, cameras and DVD's. All untraceable and easily converted to cash. No it couldn't be a planned operation like Baltimore a few years ago, could it?

If this goes tits up and we have a massacre on our hands I'm sure Trump will try to shift all the blame to the Governor. Because as we all know, Trump's motto is, "The buck stops all the way over there."

What's wrong with shooting at people coming to rob and set fire to your home or business?

Asking for a friend in Minneapolis.

I know you don't have the stomach for it but without the rule of law enforced all of society would crumble fairly swiftly. I have seen it happen in a US city. Takes a matter of days. The looters in LA were shooting first. That's when they started being dealt with with equal force and a better trained force. I don't like killing but somebody has to do it when the rule of law starts to crumble. It's very easy to sit on a computer and watch this unfold in safety. Try typing when that safety and comfort evaporates. You will be begging for someone to do something.

I actually read through all three pages of this (so far) and I am concerned about some of the comments. Not from a "you shouldn't post that" aspect, but rather from a "WTF are you thinking?" aspect.

First, all of you that aren't from the US that are tired of hearing/reading about Trump can ignore it if you see it. We don't care about your opinion of him or us. It's not your fight, stay out of it. Go complain about the way China or Russia or Venezuela are treating their people.

Second, those of you pacifists that think it's ok for people to riot because of inequalities in the way law enforcement treat people are seriously confused about the difference between right and wrong. Both are wrong. Rioting is not how you solve the problems, changing mindsets and hiring/electing the right people is how you solve them. There is no justification or reason for rioting other than you wanting to behave badly for misguided reasons. You should be glad the police aren't just shooting everyone that's participating like some other countries do. Our country isn't perfect by any means but we do use a LOT of restraint in situations like this because it's the right thing to do.

Third, if the governor and/or mayor are going to let this nonsense continue, I hope Trump does federalize and send in the NG to control this. Only a sick mind thinks it's ok to burn down a city (or portions thereof) including a police station for an issue that should be and will be prosecuted. I saw the question why did the rioters wait for a few days after the incident? I believe it took that time for the antagonizers to organize and whip up their followers into a mob frenzy. Then once the word was given, all hell broke loose. It was organized by someone, it wasn't just a reactionary thing.

Hopefully that officer will spend a lot of time in prison for taking that man's life. The others need to be held accountable for their participation as well. No one should ever go through that. But at the same time the looters and rioters also need to be held accountable for their actions. None of that was necessary or justified.

I agree 100% but the fact is they're only doing this because protests don't work.
People moaning with mega phones chanting the same thing repeatedly in numbers just doesn't get things done,
police are trained to deal with that and they're used to it, it's been popping up left right and centre with all the SJW's.

Though it may not be pretty I'm willing to bet my life that the police round those parts are going to start treating citizens with a bit more respect after this is over, this gets things done.
armies don't protest to make change happen
police don't protest to get what they're after
Why when citizens want to get something they're expected to cry about it and cross their fingers and hope that works and it doesn't ah well, tough luck.

Your absolutely right. How many peaceful protests have they had over this exact issue for DECADES now? Just for people(majority of which are republicans and more than a few on this site) to claim they're full of crap, making stuff up, or just comply ect.

These people will make any excuse they can for the police because the only ones they think should be protesting are their right wing allies in mental retardation. It was all good when maga hillbillies were protesting the stay at home orders with their rocket launchers and ars, but god forbid their political opponents actually take action on an issue thats been pushed under the rug constantly.

I don't agree with people burning down small buisnesses... but i'm happy as hell they burned down that station. It sends a loud, clear, message. We're done being f#$%#@ with..... The only thing that coulda made it better is if every corrupt pig in that city burned to ashes along with it.
