The deep state or whatever you want to call it most certainly exists. I guess the question I would ask, is trump a part of it? He certainly meets the membership criteria.

This speech: JFK secret society speech

You better sit down for this.

Yeah, too bad that speech is called 'The President and the Press' and was calling for more secrecy from the press after the failed Bay of Pigs invasion.

If you don’t believe that this speach was about the deep state military industrial complex, those who push for a communist NWO while they create for themselves a power structure that sees them in unelected control over the world that’s your prerogative.

I don't, see above.

Are you being sarcastic?

Not at all, just waiting for the usual suspects to purposefully misquote Kennedy, an avowed big government stooge, to make him something he wasn't.

In my opinion, Trump and all the other public actors are merely pawns. That would also be true of Obama and the Democrats. Also, probably, most banking, business and entertainment "stars."

All this that we are fed day-to-day is just a dumbshow. Grand kabuki. BS within BS.

IMO

Then we agree on something.

Politics and news, anything media related is just a soap opera.

The real business is done around dinner tables at country manors followed by dessert and a masked orgy, then possibly a little sacrifice to their gods depending on how the stars align that evening.

Most Americans are Independent.

Most Americans who are Republican or Democrat only make that choice because they are forced to by the electoral systems.

I think the deep state is real though I believe it is made up of equal parts dems, repubs and independents.

What I don't believe is that trump is the man to break it.
Seems to me he works with it and adds to it.
While at the same time he pretends to fight it for votes.
And he will get those votes yet the deep state will live on.

120 million non voters.
That's equal to both the dem and repub party combined.
It's a sad state when the majority of citizens don't care enough to vote.
I blame the parties for that. They drove everyone away.

but he's not a superhero and I do not believe he thinks of himself as a god.

I didn't say he does , I said he sees himself as sent by God , as do those who support him.

After his life of billionaire playboy, teen modeling businesses and Epstein grade friends, Trump escaped without being blackmailed and continued on to fight the derp state like a real American hero.

And that's what I disputed, we supporters don't see him as a god or sent by God. Well, some may believe he was elected because it was God's will, I can't support or dispute that.

LOL ... so now the pandemic is serious? Not a Democratic hoax? Some folks need to make up their minds.

Trust me, neither Trump nor Biden is going to lead us out of anything, but they are both doddering, incompetent, lecherous nutjobs.

Well, the next time I need my tealeaves read I'll consult you. Until that time, I'll put about as much confidence in your predictions as in flipping a coin.

Actually, the coin has better odds of being right.

You guys need to listen better, or at least stop repeating false statements about it. Trump didn't say the virus was a hoax, he said the panic and fear-mongering was a Democrat hoax. And it was. He was depending on his scientists and the CDC to jump on this and let everyone know what was going on. They didn't. Fauci himself said "there's no danger to Americans, you don't need masks" in late February. Once people started being put on ventilators so quickly, that's when all hell broke loose. The media hyped it up worse than anything else ever and that caused the market to collapse which in turn led to millions out of work in a very short time. A better approach, one that I believe Trump was trying to use was to stay calm and do things according to the real danger. if he had gotten good info it would have helped tremendously.

An example would be when the rest home in Washington was hammered by the virus, at that point everyone should have been made aware of the contagiousness but NOT the immedate "this is going to kill everyone!" hysteria from the media and the Democrats. That's what triggered the economic shutdown. Another example would be when Trump shut down flights to and from China. The Democrat party all but crucified him, calling him a racist and whatever else they could think of to pound on him.

Face it, given the circumstances, Trump did and has done far better than anyone else currently in politics could have done. Most of them would have crushed our nation by using a total lockdown and destroyed our entire economic system. I still believe they'd love to do that anyway. I don't want to live in a socialist/communist society. If I did I would have moved to California or Russia a long time ago.

I listen just fine. You need to think it through before the knee-jerk response to protect Trump at all costs, and it is more than evident THAT is your primary intnetion here.

The COVID virus is real. The death rate is real. The infection rate is real. Basic epidemiology is real. Transmission rates are real. It's not the flu.

No, you're not going to rewrite history of a month or two ago. Trump called for the shutdowns. Republican and Democratic governors shut their states down. It's very likely why we don't have 200k dead today or more.

Have your opinions, but Jesus Christ don't post such blatant lies.

You're literally trying to drag ANYTHING into the scenario you think will elevate Trump and demonize Democrats.

Your post is acting as a tool of disinformation, and frankly, the picture you're presenting is a ludicrous narrative straight off the Trump media press.

Yes, we have serious economic problems due to the pandemic. Yes, starting two months before we did, we could have SERIOUSLY diminished that damage to the economy.

Yes, an Administration that isn't generally science-denying could have acted significantly over the last two years to better prepare the country. Sadly, that's not what we had and now we have to make do.

Folks who repeat this same blather give the President and the Trump media circus JUST enough space to justify them getting away with denying the reality of the pandemic just long enough to make sure it took. So now, we have to listen to that same chorus of gulls squawking about this being a Democratic-Republican contest.

Trump did what he always does, act to aggrandize Trump.

Sadly, you do live in a society that shares many traits with socialism, but it's not what you think. The repeated "bailouts" for business that Republicans have fronted for decades, subsidies for auto manufacturers, oil companies, corporate farms and every megacorporation that has it's hand out while posting RECORD profits ... that's socialism. That's corporate welfare.

Giving enough dollars to a family to feed and hosue their family is what we used to call charity, which is in short supply among the Party of Jesus, oddly enough.

PFft.

If that is Trump's actual goal, he's fairly crap at doing it. We have some experience now, it won't fly the same way as it did before.

Unless, of course, Trump is actually now a part of the 'deep state' and is just using the term for self-promotion?

The Deep State is a bogyman , every Superhero needs a bogyman to fight against and Trump being "the chosen one" is no different.
As for the Swamp , well that's been maintained and added to by the current incumbent.

Some of his supporters still believe that he is draining the swamp, but they cannot point to any significant reform he has signed into law. They cannot point to a reform agenda he has sought to enact, only to be thwarted by Congress. They certainly cannot point to any investigative effort on a par with the Church Committee, the Pike Committee, or the Rockefeller Commission.

Trump’s interest in possible misdeeds extends no further than the specific Democrats he considers his most direct political adversaries, such as Hillary Clinton. For all his theatrics, he is not actually fighting corruption any more than a WWE wrestler is actually fighting his opponent. Put simply, there is no prospect that he will, in fact, drain the swamp.

So pity the Trump supporters who want to drain the swamp. There is no prospect of their civic happiness. Insofar as their champion thrives politically, Washington, D.C., will grow only more corrupt. But if Trump is proved to have abused his power, the backlash may inspire reforms, as it did after Watergate. You can fight to drain the swamp or to defend Trump, but not both.

And, has Trump actually stopped the FBI's & NSA's domestic spying? Has he rescinded the acts, defunded and disbanded the departments, and held back from signing off the continuation of domestic spy operations implemented after 911?

Nope.

He is deep state.
